Day 63 Sunday
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It's not a free day for me as our anniversary (27 years!) was Friday. But I hope for those of you whose it is that you have a wonderful one!
Steve: congratulations on the 8 mile run! That is such an accomplishment! LaNae: You are an inspiration! You will absolutely be shopping in the regular section soon! You are going to have so much fun shopping - and what a great way to treat yourself for your success! I have been remiss in posting as my husband took my laptop on a weeklong trip and I had difficulty with our desktop. I have NOT been remiss with my transformation! Had a great UBWO yesterday and will do a LBWO today before I leave for work. I'm trying a new workout schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weight workouts and Tues - Thursday cardio. I know it's not ideal, but I need to be at work earlier at this time of year Mon - Thur and the cardio is shorter! Anyway, we'll see how it shakes out. If I need to I'll go back to splitting up my weights with cardio and just getting up earlier (although I'm pushing my limits now!). The really exciting news is that I actually have a group from work doing a Body for Life challenge with me now! We just made the final start date (9/4/09) for the last round of the 2008 challenges. We took our group pictures on Saturday and had a blast! I have been working on my t-exercises. I had mostly done them privately or in a journal with some posts in the lesson's comments section. I'm thinking that I will write up my responses in blog form for each lesson. It seems that it would be helpful to me and give better order to my thinking. I'll let you know when it happens. |

Brenna, that's cool you got people from your work involved! I tried to get my mom and sisters involed. They made a profile page but didn't do anything else......yet. I'm working on them.
I hope you don't mind me joining this group. The start date for my Transformation was July 14th. I got going a week after you guys did. I noticed your group posts a lot and that's what I need to keep me going strong. I had a rough start this week. I fought through it and am back on track. I hope everyone's having a great weekend! Thank you everyone for the positive comments on my 8 mile monster run Saturday morning. Brenna, congratulations on 27 years; I can’t think of any better reason to celebrate HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! And Doyle, welcome to the July 7th Group.
I was up early this morning to walk off some of the stiffness in my legs and I am (so far) amazed how quickly my legs are recovery from yesterday. I finally made the oatmeal egg-white pancakes I’ve heard so much about here. The pic I took with my cell phone didn’t turn-out all that well. Because it’s my free day today we enjoyed a healthy portion of real maple syrup, a dollop of plain fat-free yogart, fresh nectarines and pine nuts to makes these pancakes for the first time (along with french pressed coffee). Have a great Sunday everyone! I’m planning on enjoying my free day and look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow. Steve ![]() Last edited by steve41337 : 09-07-2008 at 09:56 AM. |

Happy 27th Anniversary Brenna! That's awesome.. and I also salute you in getting others involved in the bfl challenge.. sounds like you are really livin' life.
Doyle: welcome to group! Looking forward to getting to know you more in this great supportive team here. Steve: that pic looks delicious! Day 63 marks the 1/2 way mark at 9 weeks! right? I ended up doing a 24m hiit cardio on my elliptical and then went to Santana concert with my wife. We stood up from our seats and danced the night away to the amazing music.. concert was fantastic. Carlos Santana took a few min's to let the crowd know that there are not "ifs, buts, maybe's etc" in life.. his tour theme is "live the light".. it was really cool to hear that mindset on this 1/2 way mark of challenge. I'm feeling really good about "progress not perfection" at this stage. This transformation challenge has really made me look ahead and take action on things. |

Thanks for the welcome! I can't believe it's halfway already. I feel like I should be farther on in my physical transformation. I'll have to turn it up for the second half!! You have a good point about the progress not perfection. I just want to shoot for a little more perfection this second half.
