Good Morning Maria and the rest of my friends. I agree that time is really flying by. Today is Monday and I am coming back after being off on Friday. Today is a pretty much still recovering day and getting ready for our special night at work. They are having an informal 5K with the Girls on the Run group so I will probably be walk/running that. Take care and stay strong friends!

Hi, everyone!

Diana, Sorry to hear about the leg. I had a stress fracture in my left fibula years ago. The worst part is the atrophy that occurs. First you have to build the muscle back up and then start training again. It's a good thing you're a overcomer!

Maria, Watch out for those free days...or as you just found out, nothing is free any more. You paid for it.

Chris, Good job on the runs. I love reading the signs, too. Praying on the run, I know Marty suggested that to me a couple of years ago, but I've backslided [or backslud as Dizzy Dean would say (you're probably too young to remember him)] since then. I'll have to start that practice again.

Len, I always enjoy a good pun. If I remember right, you're B+ also. Correct?

Mick/Jane, Grandkids are great, just another reason to stay in shape. Loved those 15 things happy people 'don't ' do. I shared that with some Nancy & Norman Negatives that I know.

Larry, I hope you get some more bites in the job market and reel in a whopper. I know sitting around is no fun when you don't want to.

We had a rainy weekend down here, but it was good to step outside this morning and smell the fresh air after the rain. The chirping birds seemed happier too. It's hard not to have a postive attitude to start the week after those sensory sensations.
I'm going down to Dallas on a business trip tomorrow and Wednesday. Hopefully I can squeeze in some 'check-in' time sometime during the day.

Today's plan:
Fuel:
M1 - Protein shake with strawberries & bananas
M2 - Mixed nuts
M3 - Salmon salad
M4 - Vanilla RLS
M5 - Grilled chicken salad
M6 - Celery w. peanut butter
Exercise:
AM: Sunrise salutation and Abs
PM: UBWO - Transformation format with 30 mintues cardio (10 before/20 after)
Gratitude:
I am thankful for the gentle rain from heaven,
...for being open for opportunites to do good and try to make a difference,
...for hugs and openness from good friends.

Have a blessed day!

Good Afternoon!!
Maria, another month past is right! Glad to see that you are busy. Only persons like you are able to organize a busy day and accomplish all that you have to do. Way to go.
Chris, Congrats again on the marathon this weekend. That is super that you are involved with the Girls on the Run! Kara, our daughter with the g-kids, has a "Girl on The Run" group to so I know a bit about it!! Wonderful development program mind body and spirit.

Had a super early workout!! WIN!
On the drive over to the Y I noticed several things that I was grateful for:
New corn sprouts coming up with the early planting.
Sunshine especially after the weekend of threatening weather
Soft music in the car
Orange flavored hot tea
Nice clean workout facility
Sharing gratitude expression with a friend at the Y

Enjoy your week of WINS!
Lovin Life

Hey Larry H we were thinking together on this thread!!
Boy oh Boy, you are so right in the morning air after a rain. That smell is the same as the sight of a rainbow after a rain. You may have seen that my gratitudes were of the same time frame today. Great way to start ANY day!
Have a safe trip down South Larry!!
Catch you and others later!!

Since I have been working with Coach Mick, I find more of myself DOING day to day things to meet my goals and am happy with my progress.

Exercise Accountability
Mantra: "You are only one workout away from a good mood!"
This is the beginnging of week #4 now for staying on track. Here are the breakdown of my workouts:
Week #1: 6 total
Week #2: 6 total
Week #3: 5 total
Week #4 (this week): Planned wins of 6 total workouts with combination of 4 cardio and 2 resistance

Nutrition Accountability
Nutrition is getting better each week. Now that I am posting online my calories, I am also able to track my nutrients. Sodium has been an issue. This week I am going to meditate on eating mindfully as well as tracking EVERYTHING that I eat, drink, or nibble.

Progress, Not Perfection
I am starting with nutrition and exercise, working into finances, and Jake will be with me soon. Feels like things can't happen fast enough, but I am trying to be patient and plan well.

Growing My Income
I will be working extra hours next week at my job as I was able to pick up some good shifts in the computer lab over finals. Our boss is really flexible and lets us study inbetween computer checks. May 14 I begin my full-time work at the call center for our training class. I'm excited to get back on the phones and enjoy going to that type of job.

Last Goodbyes....!
I have decided to put away my scale indefinitely and continue progress in terms of wins each day. I will not let the number on a scale determine my net worth. I am down to a size Large both in cotton workout pants and Large Talls for shirts. Both are a change from my XL status.

Hey, Mick - I think they call that 'Synchronized Posting'

Erin, Super job. Mick is a slave driver, but he gets results!

Hello Everyone! I hope you don't mind if I join you again - it's been awhile. Things are going well. No heart disease this year for any of us (yes!). I've figured out that the challenge Bill offers is too long for my ADHD brain So, I've decided to do weekly challenges - small goals, faster wins and great motivation!

Week 1 Challenge Goals
Start: 5/1/12
Finish: 5/8/12
1. Lose 2 pounds
2. Wake every morning with a "thank you" on my lips
3. Workout 4 times
4. Give thanks for 5 things before I go to sleep

I'll keep track of my goals by using my scale, my gym and my blog / this thread. As my father always said...from little acorns grow mighty oaks.

Love you all,
Rocky

Hi team,
Winding down for the evening, it's kind of quiet here with Doug being gone. But, I will read the Illusion before I drift to dream land.

Larry, you will do a terrific job in the Half.
Larry, have fun on your trip.. anytime to see folkd from tcom?
Mick, you are the happy man!
erin- your plan looks good to me, keep going strong!
Julie, a step at a time.. I use that saying often too. I actually keep an acorn as a reminder. Oh, and welcome back.
