A Running Stairs Cardio Workout That Gets You Lean Quickly
By Rusty Moore

Have you ever seen Rocky 4? This was the one where Rocky went to the Soviet
Union to fight the massive Russian fighter. Rocky trained in the wilderness,
jogging through the snow, cut wood to workout, ran up hills, etc. His Russian
opponent took the opposite approach and trained indoors with nothing but state
of the art machines. Well, it is obvious that Rocky's "old school" workouts made
him tougher and in the end he beats this massive Russian fighter. That is
exactly how I view running stairs vs cardio machines. Running stairs in the end
will beat cardio machines in burning off stubborn body fat efficiently.

Get Outside...Run Stairs...Burn Fat Quickly...Ask Questions
Later!

Running Stairs is tough! People rarely volunteer to run stairs. Normally
the only people you see running stairs are elite athletes under the close watch
of a coach. If the coach wasn't there to push them, they would probably chose to
do something easier. This type of cardio workout is hard in the exact way it
needs to be to increase HGH. HGH increases when you alternate intense efforts
for 30-60 seconds followed by 30-60 seconds of less intense effort. This is
called interval training, and running stairs may just be one of the best forms
of interval training.

Signs That Your Cardio Workout Will Result In An HGH
Increase
Here are a few things to strive for in your cardio workout if you want to
maximize HGH and its maximum fat burning effects:

1) Your skin should feel hot
2) You should be short of breath
3) You should be sweating
4) Your face should look a bit flushed
5) Your heart rate should be higher than normal even after the workout
is done
6) You should accomplish all of this on an empty stomach
[Note from Jami...all of the above happens every time for me! It's awesome!!!)\]

Running stairs will accomplish all of this more efficiently than any
workout on cardio machines.

A Simple 15 minute "Running Stairs Cardio Workout"
Find a flight of stairs that has at least 20-30 stairs (a track with
stadium seating at a high school or local college is ideal). Walk up the stairs
to the top and then down the stairs to the bottom 3-5 times. After this warm-up
you will begin the workout.

1) Sprint from the bottom of the stairs to the top as fast as
possible
2) Jog down to the bottom
3) Repeat for 15 minutes

I know this sounds way too simple! You can make it more difficult by
choosing longer flights of stairs. You can jog a couple of miles before or after
running stairs. The key to whole workout is that is you hit the stairs hard,
your body will release HGH and help you get lean quickly. Obviously you will get
better results if you eat a low calorie diet.

Running Stairs Cardio Workout...Beats Fancy Machines Every
Time!

I'm laughing at the article above, it's fine, but I don't see where he says what HGH is. Am I missing it?

I am one of those thousands too girl! I feel your pain! Be careful!

Tania first your profile still says member...you need to go to the challenge section (above in the blue area) and at the bottom accept the challenge.

Then daily we have ONE thread that we each post to! We post our meal & exercise plan for the day and discuss our successes and struggles! This is a pretty tight knit group! We've been through a lot together and continue to share in eachothers lives.

I am THRILLED to no end that you have joined us!!! You are part of the family now

Ah, Carla, you need to move. My kids need an auntie Carla.

Tania....Sheldon??? We're playing you!!! Let's do dinner before the game! What are you guys's names/positions? My nephew is Josh Milhollin, qb. Oh, this will be fun!!! What's funny is that my husband and I graduated from NORTH the first year of the high school split...it's taken a looooooooong time to be able to root for the Panthers whole-heartedly when our hearts are with the Black Tornado, but family is family. lol

My nephew is a senior this coming fall; I just blogged the other day about his first football scholarship offer. I love football so much! They cut it out of the junior highs just a month ago, so my two that play will have to wait a year unless Pop Warner comes up with a division for them. They are still underweight enough to play Pee Wee, but they're too old.

Hey to everyone else!!!!!

Love you all!

Karla--congrats on your packet.

Carla--I think Bill Phillips should just buy a big island and we can set up communities there and then we would all live near eachother. Can you imagine everyone in Mellie's Crew living in the same area? OMG--smoke would rise from the ground with the energy this group puts out!!!! I feel like I'm the only one in the Northeast and it's a bummer...although Jen (wyattsmom) is trying to get a meetup in Tortonto.

I went shopping today at Kohl's..between sales and my coupon I saved $100 and spent $111--not too bad. I bought a bunch of shirts, a new bra and two sports bras. I had fun...I must have brought like 20 shirts in with me! Now I have to stop spending for a while!

Vicki

Jami--thanks for the info about running stairs. I plan to get a lot of running in between now and my surgery and I also plan to incorporate stairs. Unfortunately, the stadium at the track at the local high school is locked down and can you believe it, the stairs fold up so I can't even climb over and use them!!! Oh well....I'll have to run those stairs I found on my run today--there's only like 20 of them but I'll just keep going up and down!

Oh, and Vicki, that sounds like a real fantasy island! Sign me up!!! You're right on finding good stairs...they are hard to find. Our good football stadium is always locked up, I would love to run stairs in a big stadium. The ones at my high school's track are okay, but they're the aluminum ones and only a couple flights, good in a pinch, though.

Carla : Oh how I wish it was just across town. Jami lives about 4 hours from me. They redistricted our kiddo's and now all my sons games except 2 are 3-4 hours from home and over some nasty mountains...........................That's why Jami and I have known each other for years now and never met...............

Need to fix that :-))))

Pat - Thank you!!!!!
I am concerned about your blood clot, but I understand re: the health insurance thing... I don't have it either at this time. I don't know if this will help, but I'm taking krill oil. It's a natural anti inflammatory and it is a gentle blood thinner. Really high in Omega-3's. I get it from Dr. Mercola's website. I'm not a doctor and I don't know if it will work for you, but I would feel like a jerk if I didn't say anything about something that could possibly help you. You're doing the right thing by keeping your diet clean. Hang in there!

Carla - I hope you can make it!!! It's my plan to hug as many people as possible to get a good arm workout lol

Brett - Yes she is! Is that awesome or WHAT????

Jami - Thank you! As usual, another insightful and beautiful post from you. Thank you for sharing!

Mellie - Thank you, Doll!!!!

VIv, Lori, and Vicki - THank you so much!!!
