Carolynn. I believe our destiny is what we make of it. If we let adversity effect us negatively and give up, we will fail in all we do. If we make the decision to use it and turn it into energy for positive goals, we will prevail. We need to take all that is bad and transform it into good. Our life is ours and will & can be what we decide to make of it.
Week 8 Progress
I am a bit confused about the stats that came up. I am working out hard, eating right, yet it shows I've lost muscle. I feel great, and I feel results, so I am just going to keep pushing it as hard as I can!!

Carolynn, I just wanted you to know that you really inspire me! I related very much to your post about dealing with family members that cannot connect with us in our transformation (My mom still tells me 100 lbs. later, "Just look at me, cause this is how you are going to look one day.") She is obese and has many health issues as she approaches 80. Keep up the great work Carolynn-be proud of what you are doing, and let your light SHINE! Amy

Hi, thanks for your encouragement earlier and for your blog "i get to". I live in Kenya, although we just about get to do the things you say, we are only a 10 minute drive away from the largest slum in Africa. 1.2million people live in 600 acres. They often do not have food, they have "flying toilets" (plastic bags, thrown out of the huts) because it is too dangerous to go to the single toilet that serves 100 people. They have no power, no clean water - the clean water that is pumped in, is in cracked pipes that have human waste flowing over it. They have little access to medical treatment, "schools" and "creche" with barbed wire and broken glass and metal on the floor. We all get to do a lot more than we think! Thank you for your post. Sara
