I Am

I am a 44 year old wife, mother, and teacher and I believe in the saving grace of our Lord and redeemer Jesus Christ. I care deeply for others and try to lend a helping hand when ever needed. After 20 years as a hairstylist I enrolled in college and earned my teaching degree in special education. I currently work with emotionally troubled teens at a residential treatment facility. I am devoted to my husband and children, 3 girls and 2 boys. I am involved with my church, taught Sunday school and went on a mission’s trip to Romania. I have participated in several fund raisers for pregnancy centers, cancer walks and for a handicap accessible playground. In my Bible study group they call me the “encourager” because I always email uplifting words to those struggling with weight loss. I want to be able to continue to help others and my physical body gets in the way. I have been over weight for 20 years and enough is enough,it is time for a change. I have tried so many diets and started several exercise programs only to be discouraged and fail. My desire is to get fit and active so I can do so much more for others and to regain my self esteem.
