I liked this section too. I am always happier when I am being creative. That is why I like my job....and sometimes why it is a little frustrating...and then very rewarding. The most frustrating situations lead to the most reward, because it takes creativity in problem solving. I guess that is true in child rearing, communications and just about everything.
When you think about divinity in creativity, it is like there is no limit or bounds to what can be. That is pretty freeing. Thanks for getting us through week 8 Thia! |

Thia, Thank you for posting this very thought provoking video. In my journey, I'm blundering, and striving. The two are always getting at me. But, while I may stumble a little, it gives me alot to think about, in how to creatively getting back up, and staying afloat. Life is a daily fight inside my mind, in achieving supremacy over adversity. And, while i could never be able to avoid adversity, it helps me to discover new ways in growing, maturing and working more on self-improvement, even if at times I don't possibly see where I went wrong. Thanks again and keep up the good work on the videos! (smile) MCG |

I fully understand what you are sharing Shawn, and it is true the blundering and striving will get at all of us if that is what we consistently focus on. A statement that I strongly agree with is: WHAT WE FOCUS ON EXPANDS. The Truth for me is we are the only ones who can think our thoughts, even if others wish the best for us...it is up to us solely to think good thoughts, feel good feelings and change our behaviors to adhere to principles of a Higher Nature within ourselves. Even in the face of adversity, trial and error our perceptions, thoughts and feelings we emit while facing what it is we are facing can have a HUGE impact on our outcomes. I agree sometimes life does not make sense and sometimes we cannnot understand what we may have done wrong in a situation and focusing on making progress with yourself and your Divine connection to God is the best way to go when feeling that striving/adversity/doubt and questioning.... ....when I feel this way I focus on taking my mind 'off' what is the perceived wrongness and adversity and that is when I apply faith and speak with conviction and belief in MYSELF, regardless of what may be appearing to happen or not make sense or struggling with those feelings inside, I am the only one who can change my thoughts, my feelings and my perceptions. When you believe in yourself Shawn, wholeheartily, than progress is made with the outcomes in life. Thanks for sharing, you really got me going on that one ![]()

This is a great chapter. The difference between whether we make something out of the gifts we are given...or if we just sit and watch life pass us by. I am so grateful for possibility that is limited only by my beliefs, action, creativity and motivation. How many times a day do we limit our potential by our thoughts and beliefs? I just did it tonight. My sister in law wants us to buy a house in Florida. I told her I couldn't....if I really wanted to I could....I would find a way. Maybe we (I) need to consider options and ideas more instead of just discounting them as impossible. We think we can't do anything about poverty, politics, illnesses...but if we really applied ourselves to finding solutions...instead of limiting our authority or ability...we may come up with something pretty powerful.
Thanks Thia! |

Shawn, what Thia says has a lot of wisdom in it. If you take the focus off the wrong and put it on a creative solution and the lessons learned. It frees us up to apply it and progress in unbelievable ways. You have unlimited creative potential and your own special style of applying it.

I posted something here awhile back but never really took the time to see what was being offered. A link popped up on my home page and directed me back here; I'm glad I took the time to listen to one of your segments Thia. I'll be back as often as I can. This is valuable and I love the way you present it in your videos.

Reminds me very much of the teachings of the Tao Te Ching. Eternal truth and wisdom.
God is good.

Michael. Wonderful and that reminds me that I need to get back to your Tao Te Ching group as well, so, thank you for that.
Yes, very similar. Timeless and Eternal Truths are evident when we hear them, we know, deep down we know....and to follow that guidance towards the Truth of the Everlasting God. Love you Michael and am going to be very grateful to have you along here with Cathy, Shawn and I. Together we learn and together we grow for we are one. I agree God is so Good.

This is exciting! A new perspective to draw on!
I love this chapter (do I say that for all of them?). This one especially because it reminds us that we do have unlimited potential and if we are not reaching for it and acknowledging that it is there for us then we are the ones who set our limit to be low. Every once in a while I will get a glimpse of what could be, sometimes I follow it and other times I am overwhelmed by the potential and close it back up before I have to deal with the responsibility or changes that would be involved. Do you ever have that? Of course then I sometimes can have what seems to be 15 great ideas in a 30 minute period. That is a little scary in itself: ) The thing is if you turn your problem solving or creative brain on...and come up with 15 great ideas...all you need is one to pass all the tests. Sometimes all I need to do is quiet my mind and 1 good solution will pop up. These are the things that unlock your potential. I think too, that when we look at ourselves as an expression of God, it increases the purity and then the scale of our potential. |

Well said Cathy, very well said!!
I agree.... the potential can be scary when we see it! Im thinking especially if we are overly attached to it. Reminds me of that poem by Williamson, Our greatest fear! So true, I think keeping on giving it up to God or realizing that it is the Divinity within us that is the True creator and acknowledging that allows us to become more in tune with it? Not sure? Just some thoughts that have been coming to me lately.

That was all wonderfully said Thia. I needed to hear that. Sorry for the late reply. I'm just seeing this reply now and also wanted to say that I agree with you on how we can control the outcome in life, by our thoughts, actions, and how we react in situations. It's all in our minds =) MCG |

This is something that is ever present in my mind Thia. The Universal Law of Attraction. What we focus on; what we fixate on is what we create in our lives.
This is a Challenge for me always but I am up to the Challenge. More than any other aspect of my Transformation, changing my patterns of thinking has been my greatest area of opportunity. The more I listen to these messages, the more I read Biblical teachings along with other spirit centered works, the closer I draw to freeing my mind of the old negative mindsets and replace my thoughts one-by-one with those of a higher frequency. My mantra and my truth is that "When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change." A work in progress. Keep putting these messages out there Thia. We've missed your presence in the Gratitude Challenge group. Hope to see you back. Michael

Thanks for the new reading Thia!
I have always thought that I should have an abundant life: ) I believed it was my right. That is, material abundance. Lately I have been thinking that maybe the abundant life has nothing to do with furniture or dresses or fancy cars. I am opening myself to life's abundance...more than money. I am opening myself to the joy of finer things. I feel pretty good about the changes I am going through right now. Really good, like I left all of this when I became a grown up and started experiencing life's disappointments. Somewhere along the line I became pretty hard and distanced myself from other people and I took everything I could from the world because I didn't believe that I or my loved ones would survive otherwise. I also lost trust and faith in all other people. I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I think this is my one obstacle to having an abundant life, that is letting go of all of this selfishness and open myself up to accepting abundance instead of grabbing and guarding it. |
