Carolynn!! Hahaha! Did you post that for me? Just kidding. I love that sign. Yes, in the past I certainly have been my biggest obstacle, and I am in constant check to make sure I don't fall into that trap whenever possible.

Today I was not an obstacle. I did my best. I will do my best tomorrow too (yikes! It is tomorrow already.)

Here's todays final accountability:

Raw Almonds and Apple
RL Shake vanilla strawberry
String Cheese and Pear
RL Shake vanilla and blackberry
Chicken fajita wrap in lettuce
Protein Shake

Exercise: Seven miles of walking 20 minute miles. I could not get the exact mileage though as the treadmill cut off twice!! I know it was at least seven though, because of the time it took. Tonight I did my 5-25's UB.

Now I go to sleep!

Yesterday was a day of wins - for some reason Monday's always are for me - it's the Friday evening through Sunday evening that I always struggle with. Just a simple 48 hours can screw all the work that you have done all week up!! My new mindset is 7 days of wins!!!

My plan for today:

oatmeal and blackberries
cottage cheese and greek yogurt
tuna, spinach and avocado salad
apple
shake
shake

20 minute jog this morning
at 5:00 pm off to the gym for elipitcal and LBWO

Big workout day ahead!!!

I have worked on and completed my forgiveness assignment. It's funny when you have been through the steps a few times, you think to yourself "I don't have anyone else to forgive - I'm done with that one". Oh no, when you dig deep in your heart you can always find someone to forgive. I actually had 2 individuals that I had to call and say "I'm sorry and I forgive you too". It was not easy for me, however, I do feel so much better inside. I really had no intentions on speaking to either one of these individuals again for a very very long time. It was hard on my family but I really did not care. I just knew I didn't want to break breath with either one.

The first one is my little brother who has been taking full advantage of my 78 year old Dad since my Mom passed away 3 years ago. He quit his job immediately and my Dad has been supporting him and his weed habit ever since. He threatens my Dad with suicide if my Dad says he can't sent money so of course my Dad gives in every time. He says he is looking for a job but posts photos of all of his amateur photography every day and sings karaoke at night - he continually tries out for x factor and idol thinking that he has a change to win - this has been going on for many years. So my Dad called me a couple of months ago and said he was not strong enough to say no to my brother and wanted me to take over and be the bad guy. So that is what I did and of course my brother and I got into a terrible fight over it him telling me that I don't understand how close he is to homelessness and how unhappy he is, etc. I cannot understand for the life of me how anyone can go 3 years without employment. A 43 year old man should be able to at least get a job at a coffee shop - anything to supplement some of the expenses that he has - just pay for your own weed is what I say!! I don't judge anyone for their habits or additions as I have had drinking issues in my past but I always paid for my own booze!! Well I did send my brother an e-mail about 2 weeks ago and said "I love you and pray for you every day". It was tough pressing send because I was not sure what his response would be but I did get a note back saying he loves me too. My next e-mail was the "I'm sorry, I forgive you". We have spoken since and I have no intentions of fighting with him anymore as my Dad has caved and still sends him the money he asks for so all I am doing is upsetting myself by trying to help my Dad. We have all realized that he will live off of him until my Dad is no longer with us - then what? That is when life will hit all of us. My 2 other brothers and I talk about it all the time - we are left with this problem that my Dad has helped create. It is going to be a nightmare but we will all have to deal with it when the time comes.

Lucy, is it already that warm in Arizona? WOW!!!

Missy, you look much smaller than you did the last time I saw you!! Can't wait to see you at the end of the month. Thanks for always posting your photos in here!! I need to start doing that more!!

David, congratulations on the lowering of your triglycerides!!! Last year my cholesterol lowered from 230 to 170 in 18 weeks!! I went from heart attack zone to normal!!! Two of my brothers take cholesterol meds and they are younger than I am. They refuse to change their eating habits - I told them they could get rid of those pills but they don't believe me!!

Missy- Looking hot girl! seriously. You are looking younger each day. I still remember when you first joined T.com and you posted some videos during your first week. What a huge change you have made since then. Im proud of you.

Today is going good so far. Yesterday was my birthday but I celebrated on saturday night and had a free day on sunday all day. It was a nice break but i woke up yesterday and had no urge to eat unhealthy. I did however skip my workout because my wife wanted to take me out right after work. I trained so hard last week I figured it wouldnt hurt. But anyways, got my gym bag packed today and am planning on cardio and pushups to get me back in the groove. I hope everyone is having a great day.

Good Morning Team!!

Hi Renee, I will pray for your dad and brother. Thank God your family has your positive light in the family. It sounds like you really have done some Transformation work!!! Thank you for your wonderful example of letting go and letting God. I will try to remember that for my own life. It's a struggle sometimes, but your example will be a wonderful reminder that doing the work really pays off. Such a release.

Oh, I gotta be quick. I will post more later on. Yesterday I really wanted chicken lettuce burrito wraps for dinner so I opted for that over the turkey burgers, as they still were partially frozen. Today, I have my main meal all planned! You gotta love Eating for Life and the grocery lists. It's so much easier to stay on track with everything available. Why didn't I get this before???

Meals
Raw almonds and Apple
RL shake, vanilla strawberry
String Cheese and berries
RL Shake
Turkey burgers
Protein shake

Exercise
3K.

Have a wonderful day!

Day 9 of Spring Forward Challenge Week #2

Good Day yesterday, I finished up with a class I was taking and had a job interview. The interview went well. I should hopefully know either way by Friday. If I did get the job, a lot would change. I have been available for my children by being home when they were little and a having pretty adjustable schedule as they get older (makes me really realize how very lucky I am and fortunate I was to stay home with my wonderful sweet girls when they were little). The other change would be a steady much needed income J and being able to provide a better more stable financial life for my family. I have put it all in HIS hands. Let’s see what happens.
This group really feels as though it has a lot of momentum happening, great changes are taking place.

Angela- LOVED the picture of your little girl in her bunny glasses, great times! 4 miles in 34 minutes is flying! Great job.
I think I could do better, so Renee’ thank you for posting that “you’ve got what it takes…”
I am working hard so, I can see some results!

Missy- There are no words to express how AMAZING you look! So proud of you

Jillian- It sounds as though you are making great progress! I think I need to read Chapter 7 of the Transformation book! When you add up all that you have done WOW! Great Progress! And it shows in your words.

Mary –So glad you had a wonderful restful Easter.

Great Job David! Healthier by the minute!

Rachelle- You did great! Your accountability, exercise, everything. Water is difficult for me too, I am going to work on mine today J

Renee- Forgiveness is a huge, great step so true Carolynn's quotes above at the beginning of this thread, I am thinking of you and your family. You are a such a bright and wonderful part of your family and our group, I am glad you are there for your dad as well as your brother. (and us)

Carolynn- Your nutrition looks wonderful, I am going to hunt through the EFL book today and pick out some new recipes, I seem to be stuck in the same things.
Jillian I am glad you are listening to your body, rest that ankle when needed, it will get stronger with time.
Happy Birthday to Craw! I hope it was a good one

Hey all! I missed posting yesterday but I was thinking of all of you! I did something I have never done before........I went on a 40 mile bike ride!!! It took my friend and I a little under 3 hours. It was amazing! There is no way I could have done this a year ago. It amazes me to see how strong my body has become. EXCITING!!!

Afterwards I felt like I got ran over by a truck, but at least I did it! ) Today I have been taking it easy, but I am still inspired I accomplished something I never thought I would.

Thanks for all the fun comments on my little Easter Bunny! That made my day. )

As for me now, I am wanting to find a workout partner I can lift weights with at the gym. I am finding it is harder and harder to go by myself...my bed keeps calling after me in the mornings. ) But if I knew someone else was there waiting on me, I would have to get up. Know what I mean?!? I will keep you updated on the gym partner quest.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!!

Angela

Hello Everyone!
Renee, warm in AZ? You betcha! 8 p.m. and it's 93 outside! This is going to take some getting used to! LOVE the duckie visual!

Keelster, isn't it so true...you eat clean and your energy just goes through the roof! Makes the healthy choices so much easier!

Hey Rachelle, here's to a week filled with a swimming pool of additional water!

Em, so happy to hear your interview went well! I hope you receive good news by Friday!

Mark, happy birthday! Enjoy - celebrate, then get right back here!

Renee, oh my goodness, I had no idea you had so much going on in your immediate family! There are no easy answers...I will remember your family in my prayers.

Angela, please believe me...if you have been going to the gym on a regular basis by yourself, people DO notice! The staff at the gym, the other regulars who are involved in their own workouts, but there are work out buddies there...you just haven't officially met them yet!

Ok, on to cardio...I think it's dipped under 90 - downright chilly!
All the Best!
Mary

Renee, i love your leap offaith post! There is so much forward movement and positive energy in this group now! It is a fun place to be!

I am trying to get used to the time change and being sleep deprived on an overnight flight that was like being in a refrigerator for 9 hours. I am here and it is so nice to spend time with my son and his family. Ciara is something else!

We are going to Stratford today..as well as Oxford. Then there will be 6 hours and 3 different teams hockey practice tonight. Jeff is running some clinics...it will be fun to watch him coach and play again.

He works at Isis..I can't wait to go there! One of the most impressive things to me is the room with trillions of dollars in lasers, magnifiers and other equipment...and it all looks like a junkyard. It works together so intricately. They are trying really hard to make it all pretty...this should be fun.

We will probably eat at Jaimie Oliver's restaurant today, that is quite an experience too.

I am walking everywhere and eating healthy. I built my calorie intake up to 1400 calories a day. My son noticed and commented how good it is to see me eating again. He said it is the most he has seen me eat in years....I guess that is a good thing as long as I am not getting fat. Well...it is 4:21 here..I better try to fall back asleep if I want to make it until 12:30 tonight.
