This is so TRUE. I'm just happy I figured out on my own to go back and look at all of the work I had done. I think I am retaining water, but you know, as this will be a life long process for me, I think I will keep on focusing on what I AM DOING, rather than what the stupid scale does or doesn't say. Reading Chapter 7 was a life saver for me. That, and thinking back to Carolynn's start of the week when she was talking about what it was like for her when she started exercising. She kept on, and what is it now??? Nine half marathons??? AMAZING.

Thanks for the encouragement. Looking at the fat is interesting, yet creepy to me, because I have so much of it to lose. I feel good at the end of the day here, knowing that I have made a solid effort toward that end.

You're awesome!

Accountability:
Meals
Raw almonds and Apple
RL shake, vanilla strawberry
String Cheese and berries
RL Shake
Turkey burgers
String Cheese

Exercise:
3K. And then I did another 2.5, just cuz I could. Yes, I am watching my ankle, and fighting the urge to bust a move on the treadmill. Total time, 125 min.

I am fastly becoming addicted to exercise. I'd much rather crave the treadmill, the way my exercise room feels to me, and chugging H20 than any food. Just being able to move again is such a tremendous blessing.

Today, I made it just a litte bit farther down the line. Consistant and persistant are my new best friends over here. Pretty good company!

'Night.

Today is going good. Busy at work, cant wait to get home and hit the heavy bag and complete lots of hindu squats and pushups. Eating is on track today, just had a nice big salad for lunch. A little behind on water so I will end this blog and go fill up my water bottle right now. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Hello No Escuses!
Today has been a good day - nutrition has been on track, still have to get some cardio and UBWO done. I am also a bit behind on water consumption today, but will make up for it this evening.
I have a stressful issue going on and am praying it's resolved before Jim and I go on our cruise at the end of next week. Jim has been doing consulting work for a company in Philadelphia since December of last year, and hasn't received compensation yet. I'm hoping it's just something that was forgotten - perhaps it's not on someone's calendar, but I'm a bit concerned about it...
All else is fine. Looking forward to stepping on the scale on Monday to see where I am. I will not put too much emphasis on the numbers...and that will be a challenge for me!
Everyone, have a wonderful evening!
Mary

Today's accountability:

Meals
Raw almonds and strawberries
RL shake
String Cheese and apple
Vegetarian lettuce burrito (ff beans with cumin, ff cheese, ff sour cream)
String Cheese

Dinner was really good. I desperately wanted a burrito, so I made them! I never thought of using lettuce in place of tortillas, but IT WAS AWESOME, and so fast. I think the trick is to go sparingly on the condiments if you use them.

Exercise:
2 miles brisk walking (45 min total), LBWO 5-25's managed to do 3-25's. Oh well. I really tried hard but it was an off day. I fell over twice right on my rear. : ( I guess when you are so short and so heavy, it may happen. I didn't hurt anything . . . 'cept my ego. I focused on getting up and completing the work. I did, and feel really proud that I didn't throw in the towel. I have found something to work on!!!!

I will go to sleep tonight, thinking about Bill's message for all of us to be proud for making the decision to live healthy. I am thinking about being proud, and what that means.

I will see you when I get back. I can't wait to see all the posts and their awesomeness.

Jillian

\Sorry I did not check in with you all yesterday. My husbands brother was diagnosed with lung cancer about 6 weeks ago and at that time they said he had roughly a year to live. We received a call yesterday morning saying that he had taken a turn for the worse so I got my husband a plane ticket to Detroit leaving this morning. His brother passed yesterday and my husband was just devastated that he was not able to see him and say his goodbyes. We spent the day crying together and I was hurting so much for him. I know how much saying your goodbyes means. Randy was only 59 years old. May he rest in peace.

I also received some bittersweet news yesterday. My 26 year old son, Chris, has been waiting to be picked up by the FAA as an air traffic controller for the past 4 years since he graduated from the ATC school in Minneapolis. Every 6 months he has to resubmit his application and wait. After about 30 days he has gotten a letter saying he was not selected this time and to try again in 6 months. Every 6 months we go through the hopes, prayers and then disappointment. The maximum age that the FAA will hire an air traffic controller is 31 so we knew he still had quite a few years left to try. When you submit your application you have to choose 2 states. He chose Colorado and Texas. He received an e-mail yesterday saying that he WAS SELECTED!!! For this I am truly grateful. However, he was selected for Fort Worth Texas and not here in Colorado. So I had a small pity party yesterday sad that he and his future wife have to move away and that my Grandchildren will be born and raised away from here. He is disappointed as well because he didn't really want to relocate and she is with the air force and loves working here on the base. But in this case he has to go where the job takes him and we are very grateful that he WAS selected.

I was thinking of all of the positives of him living in the Dallas area and that is that the Transformation group in Texas is amazing and I will be spending alot more time there with them (MARK - that means YOU!!)

I am running to the airport to take my hubby for his flight then going to drive to Windsor and take my Dad to the hospital for an epidural steroid shot in his back so I will check in later. I have read everyone's posts!!

Renee,
I've sent you an email this morning before coming here and reading your post.
I am so sorry to hear about your brother in law..I understand how your husband must feel as that is also my one worry. That when the time comes, I won't get there in time..
I will pray for peace for your husband and your whole family. I have also written in the email about your son's new adventure You guys are deffinately in my prayers.

Jillian!!! CAMP?? WOW!! Go you!!! I WANT to hear all about it when you return I have seen drastic changes in those that have gone. Missy personally, I see twice a week and she is doing so phenominal..I'm as proud of her as if she was my kid..LOL..

I will not lie to you guys!! I was very depressed yesterday and though I ate healthy..I ate too much healthy..Get it?? and I sat on my hiney not feeling up to doing much at all. What did it all get me? A tummy ache caused from a little gas bubble under my left side ribs..Had this before so I know what it is. If I had gone running/walking or something!! It would have went away..BUT NOOOOOOOOO..I sat around and was up all night hurting!! DARN IT.. I'm feeling better so I will NOT sit around today and eat junk or to much of healthy portions. I will concentrate on eating healthier portions

Anyway.. I have learned that my sister will not be coming to visit. She has to have a blood transfussion today. Her Hemoglobin is to low. They have to get this under control..that is what depressed me. NOT that she's unable to visit. BUT that this is another thing she has to go through..

Have a great day!! I will make sure I do as life does go on and we all must take advantage of the time God has given us..

Hey team. Yesterday was a hard day for me as well. Punk #1 had strep throat and punk #4 had to go to the dentist and get sedated so they could work on her teeth. By three o'clock in the afternoon I was done! No workout and I ate crappy. My hubby was cute and let me take a nap. After feeling sorry for myself, I decided to get on the treadmill and take all my energy out on it! I ended up going 5 miles. So that turned into a win! My fastest time yet. I was still a little down and didn't feel up to making dinner for the fam so I ordered pizza. All in all, it was an interesting day. I'm glad it is over. )

Today started off better with a class at the gym then I hit the pool for a swim workout. I haven't swam in a while and my body could feel it today! I gotta focus on getting those workouts in so I can compete in the Utah summer games in June. (Sprint Triathlon)

It is great to see so many friends here! Keep going strong group!

Nutrition In:
Meal 1Protein Shake, frozen blueberries
Meal 2: Chicken, rice, peas
Meal 3: Chocolate Protein, frozen Greek yogurt
Meal 4: Lean Protein, salad
Meak 5: Protein Shake

Jillian! Yeah Transformation Camp, I am soooo excited for you!!! I am hoping you take photos and post!
Have a great time!
Tina! Yes, I get it, I have eaten too much healthy before. It sounds as though you have already planned for a better day today J
Angela- Great recovery, getting on the treadmill. I just started running (jogging) I forgot how great it makes you feel.
