One thing afther another
I was very sick this past week my stomach was tied in knots I was in so much pain that i had to go into the E.R. to get treated. they gave me some medications for pain and the stomach symptoms that I was having. Well the next day my left knee started to give me problems. I had injured it when I was a teenager I was what you might call YOUNG GUN HO!! I managed to fall off of a horse in the middle of a pineapple field and placed a hairline fracture along with a dislocation to the knee cap area. It put me out of the body surfing and BMX seen for one year. Now at 45 I no longer body surf like the way I use to but I am an avid mountain biker and I hate not being able to ride. I decided to do the take a week off thing from all workout activity and let that body 40 something body of mine REST. I came! I seen! And I got blow-ed up! Is this a good thing to do to take a brake for a week?
I feel a little bummed out not riding, Aaron Aliiloa ![]() Last edited by aliiloa2009 : 05-22-2009 at 02:27 AM. |

It is always a good idea to take a physical break when your body needs it. It doesn't mean you have taken a break from the challenge or from your life. You are still working the program even if your body is resting.
You'll be back on your bike before you know it!

I agree with Jen...a break is good. My trainer used to force me to take them when I felt burned out. As long as you keep up with your nutrition and get back to your regular workouts when you are up to it...you should be just fine! -Karyl

Something like this...I would take a break. Your body needs time to recover. There are things you could do that wouldn't put stress on the injury. But take the week off (From riding) and focus even more on your nutrition and your transformation. :-)
