I took some great advice from a coach on here and joined an addiction meeting...I am so very thankful that I found this place or rather GOD lead me here....I can hardly wait to see my life changes...

Its nice to see that there are recovering people involved with the Transformation site. I am a recovering addict, active in a 12 step fellowship, and I think that my recovery and transformation are two things that can co-exist, and subsequently build off each other.
Keeperofthesabbath, good for you. I am not entirely sure what addiction meeting you are apart of, and ultimately it doesnt really matter I guess. Its just awesome to see another person try and recover from a life of active addiction (if that is, of course, the problem... I suppose I could be reading into all of this too deep!).
Bill Phillips, BFL, the Transformation.... all of this stuff has helped me IMMENSELY over the years... Things havent been perfect for me, but man...when it all gels, mind body and spirit... the glimpse of serenity and clarity I am blessed with is worth spending time participating in recovery as well as dragging myself to the gym to throw weight up at 7:00 am.

I too am a recovered addict......im coming up on 6 months here soon......I believe the coach you talked to is my Uncle Stoney, and Im glad he told you to go to a meeting. The past you can now put behind you, and you will pile new good things infront of it. You dont need to forget the past, or shut the door on it though, because it can be benifit others. Sometime your greatest gift can be your past. Stay close to a.a and n.a or whatever your addiction is. MINE WAS METH , ALCOHOL, AND PILLS. ANYWAYS IM GLAD YOU GOT SOMETHING OUT OF THIS SITE ALREADY. keep doing what you are doing. Things will change. I caNT even begin to explain how much my life has gotten better since i worked the 12 steps. I was living in an abandon building cooking drugs, showing up in hospitals , flatlining! I was sttubborn and wanted nothing to do with this so called " GOD" But my friend this so called God, saved my life when he could have used me as an example, I now live in dallas with my Uncle and get to be a part of this Transformation Community! Congratulations on your brave steps! I know how hard it is to take off the mask and let people see you vulnerable and asking for help. But the hard part is over! Hello and welcome! Just another sober person jumping in to say you have arrived at just the right place at just the right time, it is amazing how God does the work for us. When I really took a look at my life it all came down to alcohol although I loved my speed! I was given a new life through the 12 steps, not sure what program you are involved with, but keep it up! This transformation is amazing and as others have already said, it works hand in hand with my program - enhancing it and taking it to a new level! I will close with a prayer I came across in meditation:

When you seek your health you are seeking me. I am whole. I am perfect, I am harmonious. Your radiant well being is my delight. I became an adict when I got involved with this lifestyle and for some reason I feel better, look better and live better. Change your addiction to this one and you will find an abundant life
