transforming our homes
Hi all,
I have been on the program for 3 weeks now. I am wondering how it works for you as single parents? I know we all live on a finite amount of energy but I am learning that being a single Mom is not an excuse to be fat and unhealthy. I want to incorporate this lifestyle into our home routines. Any ideas how to do it successfully??? |

I am starting week 7 and I agree finding time is hard. I had to decide that I was worth it. I am up at 4:30a I do 3 to 5 miles and get home around 5:30a ish. I make breakfast and meals for the day and put dinner in the crockpot. I get my son up at 6a get him off to school. Then I go to work and workout at lunch time. I get off around 6p - home at 7ish eat dinner and get ready to do it all over again. I AM WORTH IT!!!!!
Good luck finding your schedule and realizing you are a prize and you are worthy! |

I am not a single Mom. But I do have a grueling schedule. At first I didn't think I could find time to do my workouts but thankfully I have! What works for me is to get up in the morning and run on the treadmill before work while the kids are still asleep. Then after work 3 times per week I take the kids to the gym with me for weight training. Every week differs on which night we get to go to the gym... kids love it and I don't have to find a babysitter!
I know you will find your perfect schedule! ~Melody |

I will be watching this thread carefully. I get up at 4:45 to get ready for work. Leave around 6:15 to go to work. I teach until 3:15, but don't usually leave until 4ish, unless it is one of the days I stay after to tutor and it is closer to 5 before I leave. Then we have dance class, choir practice/youth group, and soon will have baseball practice to drive to. I have no equipment nor a bike. I have been offered a Total Gym from my exhusband but am not sure where to put it in the house. I am trying to figure out where to get the time AND the energy to do the workouts. I have some videos and may use them for now to get my cardio in.
I'm ready for bed around 8ish!! Isn't that sad? |
