new today too
so I'm curious. I just registered today and am going to do the challenge because I looks amazingly wonderful and life affirming. but is too late to join up for the official contest. I noticed on the rules that it said that if you were starting on july 21 then you were do assignments 1-5 in one week. but since this is august 2nd...I'm just curious. again, I'm going to participate regardless.
thanks bunches pam |

Hey ya'll...glad to be aboard! This is my second attempt at BFL, but this time is FOR REAL!! My husband is on board this time and I think that will make a huge difference!
i just finished assignment #1...and I am still in shock. I have absolutely let myself go. As mentioned before I did BFL before, back in '03, and at week 9 was down to my "ideal" weight and size. Well, as always, I just stopped working the principles of the program, and here I am 22 pounds from where I was then. I know that if I had finished the full 12 weeks, I would have had even more success! This time I am making this a lifestyle change and commitment. I cannot go into my 40's looking and feeling like this!! So glad to be here! And thanks for the welcome! |

Bill, my thoughts today are this: I Will Never Give Up!
Even when life throws obstacles at me that are just too much to deal with. Sometimes, I feel like throwing in the towel, but I don't do it!! I am commited to not giving in or giving up! I am commited to pushing through and caring enough about myself to keep going until I finish my challenge. I also know that if I can get through this difficult season in my life, I can help other people in difficult times as well. I can walk the talk as they say. And that's important. When I make mistakes or don't get my daily menu quite right, I change my behavior instead of mentally punishing myself. It's all about moving forward and continuing the journey to becoming a healthy person. And I am giving my burdens and cares to God everyday instead of carrying them around. I think that has made a big difference in me lately. I am having more peace in my soul and feeling more happiness, even though things are rough for me right now. I am learning to let go of all the negative stuff. It's a personal choice everyday to be happy and greatful for life. The words, " I Get To", ring loud and clear. |

I am new to the site, and unfortunatly I found it AFTER the challenge deadline. That doesn't mean, however, I am NOT up for the challenge, it just means that I won't be in it for the money, it's just for me, and for my life (what more important reasons are there??). So, I hope it's okay that I'm here. I have, so far, met alot of great people on here, and am looking forward to improving myself, all the way around.

Hi Everyone - I just signed on I believe last week. I'm excited to be apart of this group. It is easier for me when I have to report on what I'm doing. I also appreciate the support that comes from those that are trying to accomplish a lot of the same thing.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! |

Greetings to one and all. It has been far too long that I have gone without registering here! Everyone seems so great and helpful to one another. I am looking forward to participating on the forum as often as possible.
I first discovered BFL back in 2001. Actually, I had seen the Body of Work video Bill put out way back in 1999, but didn't pay it much mind at the time. Anyway, the primary issue I have struggled with has been INNER transformation. For so long I have used being in the military as an excuse for being negative, disproportionately aggressive and just overall unpleasent to be around. Well, this was fine while I was on my own, but now as a happily married man (8 yrs) and father of 3, I am finally acknowledging that it is absolutely imperative to TRANSFORM!! I want the energy and enthusiasm for life that will inspire my family and make me an example for them. I know that although I have been healthy on the outside, my inner self has been decaying and ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Sooner or later something will give in and I am not going to simply wait for that day to come when I least expect it. I have made the decision to make a change once and for all. I had the great blessing of meeting Bill in Jacksonvile Florida at a Borders book signing several years ago. How great it was to finally meet him. My wife and I both wish that we were able to spend more than the few brief moments we got, but such is life. I am certain that opportunity will present itself in the near future. Best wishes, and God bless. Edward Powers |
