So... the Nike outlet store near me has neon pink shoelaces. Should I pick up a set for Clarissa?

Buy a pair for me and you too, Tristen! Real men wear pink! It'll be a great sign of solidarity for all of us on Clarrisa's team! Besides, I've done races wearing a pink shirt and wearing a pink ribbon for a great cause before.

THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM: My boss denied my time off request twice and when I asked the third time he approved it so I'M GOING TO DENVER!

Whether I run or not depends upon what my doc says...with a July 14th surgery I'm not sure if I'll be able to train at all so we'll see. But if I'm not running I'll be cheering!

YEEEHAW!

Clarrisa-
My wife and I are committed to run the roads in Denver and going for the full marathon. We have not signed up yet officially, but we are saving up to pay for the race entry. We are driving to Denver from Uah and would not miss the conference. We are looking for a place to stay. Our purpose to run the full 26.2 miles to raise money for the children and accomplish a goal of ours.

Click on Events up above Disco. The Sheraton is where most are staying and they will be able to get you all set up. The sooner you sign up for the marathon at www.denvermarathon.com, the less it is. I signed up months ago and it was $70, we just signed Tom up a couple weeks ago and it was $80. It goes up to $90 and then if you register when you get there it is $100. That is for the 1/2 marathon, not sure on the full.

Hi, I am brand new to this site and just finished assignment #1. I am here in the Denver area and would love to do the half marathon...but chicken to commit. I know I can't run it, I don't want to embarras myself by being the only one walking most of it, yet the Make a Wish foundation is near and dear to my heart, as I have a 2 yr old son who is autistic and has apraxia. Any thoughts? I will be honest in saying, I have not exercised and need to lose 50lbs. I am 36 and in okay health other than being overweight....

Hey Jen!!

I sure understand that feeling. Though, there will be many members here walking the distance, whether it is the 5K or the Half-Marathon. =)

This entire weekend is about people connecting with the greater power of the group, and it is an opportunity to learn new information in our seminars about how to live healthier. It will be an incredible weekend of inspiration with all the net proceeds going to Make-A-Wish.

Welcome Jen, and if you have any questions, I am always happy to help and support.

So nice to "meet" you!

I'm in for the half and raising money for the kids. Things are crazy money tight right now, so I haven't registered, but worst case scenario, we can drive from Fort Worth, (it's only 12 hours) and we have a friend that lives in the Denver area where I'm sure we can crash. I sent in my packet so we have the golden ticket to cover the rest.

I too have felt like I never finish anything, but I did finish something, I mailed off my packet last week! I changed the trend. This is a new challenge. I have alot of training to do, but I have Megan, my #1 cheerleader to motivate me. Megan had a wish granted when she was young and it made such an impact on her.

Is there anything else I can do? I am thinking I can AT LEAST WALK the route! Can I register to walk something, even if I cannot run?
