I am looking forward to this assignment and Bill's insight and wisdom regarding the importance of a positive mindset. I have learned so far on this journey that when my mindset becomes weak, my confidence and effort to push myself to do my best with other aspects (nutrition, exercise for example) of my life want to follow in the same direction.

Eagerly anticipating this assignment =)

Assignment #6 Worksheet: Positive Mindset

Three examples of uncertain thoughts I have experienced so far in this challenge process which have caused me to delay or procrastinate:
1) Is my daily yoga class really making that much of a difference in my flexibility and overall health.
2) Am I really concentrating enough with my daily Bible study, or is my mind just wondering.
3) Is eating only 5 meals a day enough, or should I consider getting back to 6 like I was doing before.

Three new, empowering thoughts which I can shift my attention to are:
1) Doing my daily yoga class is making a big difference in my flexibility and improving my overall health.
2) I sit down each morning before my Bible study and focus my mind on what is at hand for the next 30 min.
3) I consistently eat my 6 small meals per day which works best for maintaining my best overall health.

A description of how I envision my future, healthier self goes like this:
Empowering words and phrases which I utilize in my daily communication with others and myself which lift my state of mind are:

As I approach 47 years of age, I see myself continuing towards and making progress with obtaining spiritual maturity. My new approach to exercise with doing yoga has given me a new body that is limber and light. My consistent and persistent daily routine of having even more spiritual energy is helping me with having a more humble and servant heart.

Empowering words and phrases which I utilize in my daily communication with others and myself which lift my state of mind are:

Gorgeous, gracious, excellent, lovely, healthy, smart, active, motivate, compassionate, thoughtful, polished, light, pleasure and blessed.

Moving forward
Being of service
Be the change

An example of how I use empowering words to transform a negative thought or statement into a positive one is:

Am I really making a difference with helping my brother teach a Bible study class, or is just not worth the time. I’m full of gratitude that I’m able to assist my brother with this wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of all the guy’s we’re able to help connect back to God.

Beautiful work Stoney...way to be committed to continually improving. And yes, others including me perceive and appreciate your humble, servant heart. When I do yoga, I feel more connected to my body and more aware of how emotions and stress are registering or getting stuck in different parts of my body. It also helps me manage my plantar facitiis (enough to walk that half marathon in Denver). I am a big believer in yoga. Have you considered trying another type of yoga or practicing with a different instructor? A good instructor helps a great deal and teaches the class members to honor their bodies and engage in gentle challenges only.

Sincerely with love, Christine

I'm sincerely enjoying my entanglement with all of you. I eagerly awaited #6 as well! Thank you for being lights upon my path. Integrating these concepts is the only thing that has ever worked for me to have a positive affection (note I meant to type positive affect and then the other happened, so I decided to keep it) for my physical self. Because of this "affection" I can gently parent my child/ego self towards the proper path of wellness, in all regards. I took the keys away from the toddler as I believe Trish said somewhere!

Thank you for the inspiration and enlightenment. I see myself in Denver as I'm meant to be crossing the finish line in a flurry of joy with other transformers.

Assignment #6 Worksheet: Positive Mindset

Three examples of uncertain thoughts I have experienced so far in this challenge process which have caused me to delay or procrastinate:
1) I am to tired, I will work out harder tomorrow.
2) I need more rest my body is hurting.
3) Whats an extra FREE day going to hurt, I will do better next week.

Three new, empowering thoughts which I can shift my attention to are:
1) Early to bed early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise.
2) Pain is weakness leaving the Body.
3) I can do this, to be a winner you got to act like a winner, walk the walk and talk the talk.

A description of how I envision my future, healthier self goes like this:
Empowering words and phrases which I utilize in my daily communication with others and myself which lift my state of mind are:

Today is the Beginning of my New Life, I am starting over Today, All Good Things are Coming to Me, I am Grateful to be Alive, I see Beauty all around me, I live with Passion and Purpose, I take time to Laugh & Play every Day, I am Awake, Energized and Alive, I focus on all the Good Things in Life and Give Thanks for every one of Them, I am at Peace and One with Everything, I feel the Love the Joy and the Abundance, I am Free to be Myself, I am Magnificence in Human Form, I am Perfection of Life, I am So Grateful TO - BE - ME ...

Empowering words and phrases which I utilize in my daily communication with others and myself which lift my state of mind are:

What ever the Mind can Conceive and Believe the Mind can Achieve.
What you think, So you will Become.
Stay Positive on a continuous basis.
What you Truly Want is only a Thought Away!
Accept and be Thankful.
Always talk in a Positive manner.
A Goal is a Dream with Deadlines.

An example of how I use empowering words to transform a negative thought or statement into a positive one is:

I go To Gods Promises
I Can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
What soever things you desire when you pray believe you have received them and you shall have them.
If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.

Positive Mindset

Three examples of uncertain thoughts I have experienced so far in this challenge process which have caused me to delay or procrastinate:

I have been so negative at work because I fall into the negitivity pattern that surround me and I hate it.
I keep thinking I am too old to be a runner and want to just lift weights instead.
Eating right is getting boring.

Three new, empowering thoughts which I can shift my attention to are:

I will stay away from the negative influences and not fall into the gossip and back biting.
I beleive that running is life changing and a wonderful way to stay healthy.
Eating right is only boring because I let it be. I will add things like peppers and seasoning and discover new low carb dishes.

A description of how I envision my future, healthier self goes like this:

I see myself finishing a full marathon with a sleek lean body and people around ne that love me for who I am. I will also be someone who helps others overcome their obesity, Diabetes and help them change their life.

Empowering words and phrases which I utilize in my daily communication with others and myself which lift my state of mind are:

Humbled, blessed beyond what I deserve, grateful to still be alive. Honest with myself and focused on being the healthiest man of my age. Successful in helping others succeed...

An example of how I use empowering words to transform a negative thought or statement into a positive one is:

When I catch myself involved in negative talk at work, I will just walk away and think of the good parts of the job. When I start to think I am too old to be a runner or an athelete, I will look at how far i have come and look at the lives of people like Dick Hoyt and his accomplishmnets. I am so blessed that God did not take me home when i was so rebellious and so overwight, I want many years to make up for that time, to help people, to help them see the vision of the life that God wants them to live. i want to create Cahmpions in life and help transform the Nation.

Andrea, I am really seriously starting to take a great liking to you You are too cute, and I agree, I am joyfully enjoying being entangled with all these amazing folks too

DaddyO. I love that quote by Napolean Hill and so agree "anything the mind can concieve and believe, can achieve." Im not sure if that quote originated with him but that was where I first ever heard it.

Assignment #6 Worksheet: Positive Mindset

Three examples of uncertain thoughts I have experienced so far in this challenge process which have caused me to delay or procrastinate:
1) Does anybody really care????
2) Why should I continue to be so positive at work when everyone else is negative and they seem to be getting what they want!
3) Are these extra handfuls of almonds i keep snacking on really okay for me to be eating, I keep reading articles that say almonds can make you look younger!!!
4) I slipped up and had some drinks with some visiting out of town friends.

Three new, empowering thoughts which I can shift my attention to are:
1) Of course people really do care...Look at Hogo and Rockymtnmike, fellow bartenders who have also given up drinking and joined me for every workout for 3 weeks and are joining me in Dallas!!!!! There are more to come, just wait and see!!!!
2) I am positive and good spirited for how it makes me feel inside... I needn't worry about the actions of others
3) I reduce the size of the handful of almonds and drink more water to battle my cravings!!
4) I look at how far I have come with my personal, spiritual, and physical growth and focus on progress not perfection from now on... I am not beating myself up for slipping up... I am dedicated to a higher health and higher awareness!!!! and I am happy and grateful that I have old friends from out of town who visit!!!!

A description of how I envision my future, healthier self goes like this:
Empowering words and phrases which I utilize in my daily communication with others and myself which lift my state of mind are:

I see myself teaching, coaching, and helping others with this amazing process of transformation. I no longer have to work in a bar. I see myself working in a training facility or gym training others. I see myself speaking and motivating large groups of people across the world. I see a life of abundance. I've learned to transform stress into positive energy and I am able to project this good energy onto others. I can vividly see myself crossing the finish line in the Dallas half marathon at least 40 minutes faster than my Denver half marathon time!!!!!! I see the finish line in Denver as well, right there ahead of me, as I cross the full marathon finish line with both arms held in a "V" for victory on October 17, 2010!!! I am living a life of fullfillment by helping so many others!!

Empowering words and phrases which I utilize in my daily communication with others and myself which lift my state of mind are:

Practice humility each and every day
Giving thanks each and every day
My enthusiasm is contagious and helps others
My energy helps others
I have the gift to motivate others to action

An example of how I use empowering words to transform a negative thought or statement into a positive one is:

I will change "I can't do this anymore!!" to "This situation is a test to make me stronger", "I am here for a bigger purpose", "the tipping point is right around the corner!!!!!!!"or"I am more powerful than any obstacle!!"

WOW!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS AN UPLIFTING ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!!!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM SOOOOOOO GRATEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
