Here I am on DAY 9 needing help! I have had 2 knee surgeries and my knees grind when I do my quad workouts. Got any suggestions for EFFECTIVE quad (ham too) exercises that won't put that stress on my knees?

Dude - a side note. All of Bill Phillips radio broadcasts are on itunes podcast. They are downloadable (is that a word?) for free. This is good stuff to listen to when going for a POWER WALK or driving in your car or tanning on the beach or poolside. Relaxing and the knowledge you will gain is always at your fingertips. Can you imagine driving in your car with Bill Phillips and all his great guests are talking to YOU!!!! Did I say its FREE. And you listen to it when you want. And you could listen again and again and again, if you weren't sure what they said the first time. Feed your mind as well as your body. Just click the link on the radio broadcast on the upper right portion of screen and you will be there

Hello Introduction and request for Help

Hello all

I hope, I am posting this in the correct place.

I am 55 years old. I have tried to particiapte in the challenge several years ago.

I have a strong desire to try, perhaps not a very posisitve word, again.

I have read Dudes post that started this thread and found some very good information and assitance.

I do have several quesitons.

1. Should I start the challenge now? Or should I wait til the next challenge start date.?

2. I have read The orginal Body For Life several times. I am ,however, challenged by limited time, I work a a part time job and substitute teach. Thus need to plan well, perhaps join a planning group.

3. I, also, have limited resources.

4. As Dude so clearly pointed out I would like to find an accountablity group and mentor. Louisville, KY.

Thanks in advance for all the assitance

Keith

PS Another bumo in the road My wife, of 30 years. and I are going on a cruise, if the passports come back, 10 Oct. I would like to get her interested in the challenge also.

1. Keith, you can definitely start the challenge now. Take a peek at the Challenge page: http://www.transformation.com/challenge/ This page will answer most of those beginner questions. On this page, you will see the Assignments tab. Click on that tab and you will see Assignments 1-18. You can begin with one and move at your own pace, most individuals have the first four assignments done in around 2weeks; but really it’s your very own pace. (Also, you can register your email at the bottom of this page to stay informed with future news on challenges)

2. The Body for Life program is 6x a week, 3 sessions are 20mins and 3 sessions are under 55mins each. Is that something you are unable to work around? Maybe pick one day (on the weekend?) to plan your upcoming week and nutrition/assignments?

3. Were you referring to limited resources as in a gym membership or supplements? Neither are required, and there are many ways to work around both situations, just let us know. As always t.com is free and we are happy to help you along the way.

4. For connections in Louisville, Kentucky, I did a search in the community, click HERE for the results.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with, my name is Clarissa.

Thanks Dude,

I have been wanting to change for a long time now. I feel like I am at the point that I will do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. I am hoping to start the Transformation as a New Year's Resolution. I don't know if it works that way but in the mean time I am doing the Body-for-Life challenge.
