I don't need to be bribed, (none of us do but I would love to be a guest speaker at more of the t.com gatherings. I do have some airmiles building up and can't think of a better way to invest them, then for t.com get togethers. Hope to meeting more of you real soon. Until then, see you in Indy in a week. Woo Hoo!!!!

Michigan T.Com Rally & Backyard BBQ

Michigan T.Com Rally & Backyard BBQ

We are hosting a t.com rally and backyard BBQ in the Lansing area for anyone who wants to come. It will be Saturday, May 9th from 1-3 pm at 3510 Hiawatha Dr. in Okemos (the corner of Hiawatha & Jolly) in the backyard.

It is my hope that this time together will be:
1. A chance to meet some other transformers and mutually encourage each other, and
2. Be an opportunity to inspire people to take the challenge in 2009 (deadline May 25), so bring friends and family that you would like to have inspired.

How will we feel inspired? Hopefully by hearing each others’ stories of transformation so far this year. Personally I’ve lost almost 30lbs in the first 9 weeks of my challenge, and have a lot more energy (to do things like plan this get together).

But, if that’s not inspiring enough, I’ve also invited 1999 Body for Life Grand Champion Tom Archipley (http://www.transformation.com/ttv/video/54 ) and 2002 BFL Champion Brian Hossink (Body-for-LIFE Challenge Champions 2002 ) and both have confirmed that they will be there. They will encourage and inspire us, as well as answer any of our questions we might have about transforming.

Brian Hossink now has his own fitness facility in Okemos called Fitness Together which offers personal training at his facility. He told me that he would give one free training session to anyone who attends the rally.

Bring the whole family. We’re putting together a kids program so the adults will be able to have good conversations while the kids have a great time playing games and doing activities.

If everyone can chip in a little money for food, I’ll take care of getting it all there and prepared. I’m thinking a donation of $10 per person/$20 per family would be plenty. But DO NOT let that keep you from coming. It’s a donation, not admission.

I will need you to RSVP so I know how much food to get- also let me know if you’ll be brining any kids so we can plan for the activities too. So please RSVP by Tuesday, May 5th. It would be helpful if you could send me a message on t.com letting me know either way. Thanks.

When I hear from you that you are coming, I’ll send you the address and more details.

The meal and program will be 1-3pm, but the party doesn’t have to stop then (though the child care might have to). There are lots of great things to do in the Greater Lansing area for people who want to stick around.

Thanks,

T-dave

PS:
In addition to Tom Archipley and Brian Hossink I’ve just heard from 2006 Body for Life Grand Champion Mike Harris
( Body-for-LIFE Challenge Champions 2006 )
and he and his wife are planning on attending.
This get together is going to be full of inspiration and knowledge, so bring friends and family members that you’d like to take the 18 week challenge.

PPS: I've heard from about 30 people that they are coming. And we might have a surprise visitor. Don't miss out.

PPPS: I'm planing on leading a hike through the Michigan State Campus afterward if anyone wants to go. We'll go along the river and through the botanical gardens. It will be very scenic.
