Everyone, thanks so much for the well wishes regarding the broken leg. I am pretty sure I won't be able to run my half marathon in Chicago :-( Which makes me sad. But it is okay. I will definitely work this out because if I don't move I know I will puff up like a puffer fish and get in a real big funk.
Hanna way to go on those size 4 shorts! What a great feeling that has to be. Sherri: Absolutely not going to yell at you, but I am going to send a great big hug. Because we all get off course, under the weather and out of sorts ... We all love you! Hope your feeling better very soon. Diana

So sorry to hear of the broken bones while I was gone for 3 days on a trout fishing trip with some buddies from church.
Diana and Laurie, I hope your legs heal fast and you aren't in too much pain. My prayer is for peace and healing while you are down. Chris, if I had half your energy, I'd be the next champion!!! Nikki, welcome to a fabulous team - we're here to help. Just catching up after my return, and before I head to Denver for the week. The only time my heart rate got up the last 3 days is when I had a big brown on the line and my adrenaline kicked in...but I did do a lot of walking up and down the river in my waders, so that was my workout. It sure is good to spend some time with Christian men (there were 6 of us) just to fellowship and see all of God's creation! I'm glad to be home, albeit for a day, and ready to get back after it tomorrow in Denver at my well equipped hotel. Sorry to those I've missed on the blogs, but please know I'll have a chance to catch up while on the road. I haven't seen if the Friday Conf Call is available to listen to??? JIM |

Due to a change in my work schedule I had to restructure the conference calls. Moving forward, the weekly assignment calls will be held on Friday afternoon/evening. I am in the process of deciding what to do about the WEEKLY WINS calls. I'll get back to you on that one.
As for the recording, I wasn't at home on Skype this past Friday so was unable to record the call because I failed to jot down the pin for recording directly from Free Conference Call. Progress not Perfection right? LOL [quote=Ready_Set_Go;793040]Do We have a recording of the conference call? and are we going to have calls for the wins anymore?

Hello Fellow Masteries!!!!
Reetu, we always seem to post during the same time of day. Totally rad. Buffed, thank you for the inspiring words. I needed to hear that today. I haven't been around much. I can't say I'm sorry either. I needed some time to myself. I have been finding my way through the nasty blackness of grieving. I need to get back on track. I haven't been feeling the best or eating the best but I want to get myself on the more positive side of things again & start exercising regularly again. I want to thank everyone for their heart felt messages. They really meant so much to me. Thank you. UBWO is a go for tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any recommendations for a healthy and nutritious body cleanse? I would love to get rid of toxins that have been building up in my body. I'm thinking a great green foods cleanse for a few days. Juice and salads. Let me know if you have any better suggestions. I'm blessed to have all of you in my life and I'm grateful for every single one of you. Thank you. <3 Love to all, Autumn Last edited by skipperic : 04-29-2012 at 10:37 PM. |

Autumn, grieving can sometimes be a dark and lonely process, but it must be done on your own terms. I hope you're feeling better...
I had a perfect weekend after free meal on Friday evening. I'm so proud of myself! And yesterday I had the privelege of showing two lovely ladies from my town the 5/25 UBWO; we did it all together, each doing a different exercise at the same time. It was a lot of fun! Working of step 8 today...this will be a focused session as I get all my demons out and deal with them. I've been thinking about this step for a few weeks now. Have a great day everyone! Christine |

Diana hope you are finding good upper body workouts that make you feel fit.
Nikky. love the picture and just thinking of delicious tropical fruit just makes my mouth water. I cannot find a papaya in NY that comes even close to what I had in Hawaii. F;loating markets? Do you walk out to them? Kathy, I am eating slowly now and savoring my food and also breaking through a fear of angering those I love and instead always opt for peace.. sometimes at my own expense. Creating new habits takes time and hoping I can do it today when I go to babysit my grandchildren at my daughter's house. Maria.. know you have trust in faith in the divine.. your husband and his boss will be working away. Have a wonderful day becoming more fit.. mind, body and spirit.. Buff.. love all your examples. Christine do love your enthusiasm these days.. Marilyn Marilyn |

Good Morning . I agree that time is really flying by. Today is Monday and I am coming back after being off on Friday. Today is a pretty much still recovering day and getting ready for our special night at work. They are having an informal 5K with the Girls on the Run group so I will probably be walk/running that. Take care and stay strong friends!

I am resting the hip. Put some icy hot on it during the race and I started to burn. At least I did not feel my hip LOL!

Chris, I totally think you need a recovery day : )
Is it Monday already? Got in a good UBWO and abs this morning. Hope to do some cardio later in the day, but if not, atleast I have this workout under my belt. Hope everyone has a great week! Lisa |

Happy Monday morning!
Had a great weekend ... ate clean all weekend except for two planned free MEALS (meals, Sherri, not days! ) which I thoroughly enjoyed, got in a great workout in support of our team members who ran organized races, spent some relaxing time with my family (much needed after our emotional week last week!), and watched my 10yo son win the 4th grade spelling bee! Life is good!Funny story about my son ... he LOVES to play basketball, so to "study" for his spelling bee he came up with a game. I would give him the word to spell and then he'd spell it while he was dribbling up & down the driveway. When he got the word right, he'd make a shot. Since he had 100 words to practice, he got in a great workout AND a good study session! And it got his brain working, too, because during the actual spelling bee the group quickly went through the 100 practice words, so he won with words they didn't know. Yep, a proud mama moment!! ![]() Lisa - Hope Dave's car got fixed and you are back to "normal" for transportation. Sounds like Emily has a busy summer planned, with a lot of time spent helping others. She's an amazing girl with a great big heart! You must be awfully proud!!Chris - Congratulations on your marathon this weekend!!! You definitely deserve a recovery day (or two ) ... especially since you have a 1/2 planned for this coming weekend. WOW!Have a great day! Hugs, Kari |

Morning!
Good weekend, now focused on my half marathon in Kenosha, WI this Saturday. It's supposed to be much better weather & running by Lake Michigan, so it should be a nice run. Marilyn-Those are 2 tough habits to change-good for you! I think I need to slow down my eating too-so you have inspired me to give it a try this week, I am always in a rush for some reason. Christine-great job this weekend with your eating-you SHOULD be proud-I know how tough it is & struggle every weekend it seems. Chris-I would like to do a tri someday, but with the Warrior Dash & Tough Mudder in August & September, I think that might be a biting off a bit more than I can chew for this summer. But I would definitely come down to Chicago area for something with you guys-just let me know a couple months in advance if you sign up for something. Thanks for thinking of me! Lisa & Kari-thanks for your support this weekend-you guys ROCK! And Kari-congrats to your son on the spelling bee-how exciting for him!! And to you for such a great weekend!! Hoping to squeeze in a short run tonight after work, so far no running the kids around-so crossing my fingers nothing comes up. But like you Lisa-I did a workout this morning already, so if I miss it tonight, I'll just try again tomorrow. Have a wonderful week all! Kathy |

Dear Team,
I'm about ready to smack myself on the head for my stupidity. I re-sprained my left ankle. I sprained it last Monday, it felt fine after a few hours so I ran 5K on it (I'm an idiot). When I got home it was the size of a grapefruit. I iced it and rested it and did no weight bearing exercises until Thursday when the swelling had gone down. Worked on the stationary bike over the weekend and everything looked good albeit a little colourful. Today while doing my 5-25 I really cranked up the intensity on the stationary bike. My legs were so tired that when I dismounted and took my feet off the stirrups, I somehow stumbled and re-sprained my left ankle *cries*. I know other people have much more dire problems than me but I feel like a complete fool right now. I won't be able to run (I love running) for at least another week or so, and I'm scared of getting back on the bike. Any other cardio ideas please, please? Diana - I'm sure you are laughing at my silliness since you have much, much bigger problems with your broken leg. I will think of you all this week as my inspiration. Sherri - I hope you feel better soon. Hanna - Wow, size 4 shorts!! That's my future aspiration! Jim - Thank you for your warm welcome, this team rocks! Buff - The diaper analogy is very befitting my circumstance right now, sigh. Michael - How do conference calls work for overseas members? Reetu - So good to have someone on the team nearby, geographically speaking ![]() Autumn - Sincerely sorry to hear you are going through a grieving process. When I lost my Mum to cancer I was diagnosed with complicated grief. It's been over 2 years and I'm pretty well on the mend now. Please let me know if I can help in any way at all. Christine - Congratulations on inspiring the other women at the gym, they'll have you to thank when they are all hot ![]() Marilyn - Have a wonderful time with your grandkids - you don't look old enough to be a grandmother at all! Chris - I hope your hip feels better, injuries are a bummer. Kathy - Enjoy your run along beautiful Lake Michigan. I'm so glad I have this community. The old me would have just stomped off in a huff and drowned a pint of icecream. Thanks for letting me vent I may be down, but don't count me out. I'll be back stronger and better! Cheers, Nikky.

Kathy you will rock the 1/2 marathon this weekend!
Nikky welcome! Well I had a wonderful weekend. I went to a scrapbooking retreat. I ate surprisingly well even though it was lots of salt with the frozen meals. But I was still pleased that I stayed away from all the junk that was there to be had. This week I am focusing on slowly starting to exercise again since my bout with bronchitis. I still have a pretty deep cough so will be doing low low impact. Michele |

WOW, it's the end of April already!
Time does fly. Today is my busy day with many classes. Tonight I will skype with my husband before falling off to dream land:-) My pain is easing up and I can move more today. The weekend was shot. What is going on with all these broken bones and sprains??? Oh my! Diana, if you didn't want to do the Half you could have just said so, no need to be extreme. (joking) Maybe now would be a good time to focus on those really healthy meals. Tomorrow my client is returning after knee surgery- she just got off her crutches so we will do Bill's UBWO Make it a day full of success! ![]() |

Life is good!
I have a crazy imagination and I love to read. I stopped reading - cold turkey - last year or so, because it was unhealthy for me. It was more like an addiction. Growing up I loved to read and it's quite common for me to finish a book in a day. Between the pages of a book are such adventures! I could go on as to why I like books, but if you love books I think you'll know...if you aren't a reader then I don't think I could say anything that would describe it well enough. My quandry? My well intentioned and loving husband bought me a book from an author who I have most of his books. His thought was that I loved to read so much that I should enjoy spending some time doing it again. Especially since I need to find some more things to help me re-charge. For the longest time reading books was better than reality. Thankfully, that is not the case anymore. I had committed myself to only reading books that helped me in some way, but I do have to admit that is not relaxing. For those books I have to think about what is written and what it means to me and how to apply it to my life if it is something that should be added. I'm torn on what I should do......I haven't even opened up the book yet. Could my husband be right?
