A Challenge Invitation - To Kenya!
Dear All
I would like to suggest a challenge for all of you who love or aspire to love running and travelling. In June 2009 there will be the Lewa Marathon in Kenya. It is my goal to run the half marathon there next year (I have at least 60lbs to lose by then and can only manage a 52min 5km shuffle currently) What's so exciting about this marathon is that it runs through a wildlife conservancy. "The marathon is run on dirt roads, over two 21km loop for the half-marathon- through the Conservancy. Over time, the Safaricom Lewa marathon has gained reputation as one for being one of the ten toughest marathon events in the world. Run on a rough terrain and under harsh climatic conditions, it is an enticing experience which has continued to inspire distance runners and athletic fans alike. The grueling marathon is also unique in that it is run within a game reserve located at an average altitude of 5,500 feet above sea level. " SO......I am taking bookings If any Transformers would like to join me....let's talk!Sara |

Are you up for it? I am so excited. My friend just completed the half marathon in 1 hour 50 mins
It is such a beautiful area, I thought I would give myself time though. I am already jogging / shuffling at 2000 feet which will help me train a little more. |

Oh, I wish! I used to live in Nairobi and Kenya is such a beautiful country. The Kenyan runners run with pure joy in their heart.
