Powerful new exercise
Thought you might be interested in this powerful exercise that's continues to give me amazing strength. It's a muscle you may have not thought about building, but it will make you a POWERHOUSE. It's your " I will not quit muscle". You have to push yourself to want to quit and don't. Next time you are on the treadmill and your pushing yourself to that "10" or wanting to get off before your time is up, say to yourself, "this is where I strengthen my I will not quit muscle" You will finish and feel the same instant gratification and empowerment that you do when you finish your complete set of heavy reps. (use this mantra there too) Each time you consciously push yourself to want to quit and perservere by not, you will strengthen that " I will not quit" muscle.
When any type of adversity or setback arises, whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, use this mantra to overcome the storm and not be overtaken by it. You will be victorious and champion over the trial everytime. Your WIN/loss record is going to become quite impressive. Be sure and give us feedback on how this exercise works for you. |

I love that mantra!
Thanks Denise! You're so creative!! I love that mantra and will remember it from now on for my workouts! I've been adding 20 mins steady state to the end of my HIIT in an effort to reach my goal of 10,000 steps each day. I'm sure you know how hard that is and similar thoughts go through my brain. I want to quit sooo bad but I tell myself how good it will feel at the end of the workout if I complete what I set out to do! I love the way you've described it here though - the will not quit muscle!! Thanks! That mantra will come in handy for the short-term during workouts as well as during the long-term when something is trying to throw us off course!

I think my "I will not quit muscle" doesn't know how to quit so no problem there
Bill says 20 min cardio and if I'm doing any type of cardio I have to have a clock near by to say, hey times up. If I am doing aerobics, forget it, I'm jumping to high impact / high intensity till either my hubby comes in my home workout room and says, baby you'rve been in here for almost 2 hrs or the gym doors close, lol To get what you never had you must do what you have never done / Hiit your 10's and dream BIG! GET*HER*DONE LINDA |

I guess I have been using my, "I will not quit" muscle. When I end my 12 reps I find myself thinking I can do more and I press on to do 15. When I run at my 1 minute high point I push myself longer. I am not a runner. I really don't enjoy it but I do it. I keep surprising myself by running longer than I thought I could. Maybe I will turn out to be a runner one day. Who knows.

I flexed my "I will not quit" muscle today - I think I hit a ten with it in fact! Lucky me - the second spinning class of my life (first one 10 yrs ago) ended up being a private spinning class!! I wanted to quit so many times - my quads were just on fire! I had to close my eyes so many times and push through the burn! I feel terrific after doing that, though!

I used my "I will not quit" muscle last night when I was riding my bike for the first time this spring. It was stronger than I though and by golly, I didn't quit either!!

My I WILL NOT QUIT muscle was used for the first time in a verrry long time today. Which brings up the point: if you're getting dizzy, you should let that muscle off the hook. I was starting to see red and got dizzy during dead lifts today.
Every other exercise was a 10 and I didnt quit. THANK YOU Denise for leading and providing even when your moments are few. |

My "I will not quit" muscle always got overruled by my "I'm having too much fun to quit" muscle. When it wasn't fun anymore I quit, lol. I always came out of the gym laughing. Of course, results are variable using this muscle, lol.

I would like to publicly thank Heidi for helping me work around a cast on my foot. When I posted that I needed some help working around the cast, she jumped up and offered her help. Well, within three days I was on the phone with her in Calif. and she gave me some great exercises to do. Talk about going above and beyond!!! She is quite an inspiration and wants others to succeed as well. Thank you, Heidi. This community has a great support system and for that I am grateful.

Denise
Thanks great I am just starting to get back into working out after being on and off for the past few years and that’s a great thing to try while in the gym. I also have a knee that is in bad shape and gets me to stop my workout a little early sometimes. Not anymore I am going to use that muscle often and work right through it. Thanks Jim |
