Wow, not too many people mention Illiusions but it is, IMO, by far (even though I forgot to put it in my original list) one of the must beautifully written books ever on self realization! I love it!

Great Idea.... On my Soul Salon International site I posted the 2008's TOP 60 Books for Awakening. Rather than list them all here, here is the link right to the page. You will see many titles that are listed above- Thanks for the ideas above for the 2009 book list!

You all are the best!

Such great books listed! I am also a voracious reader, when I can fit it in. So I will limit my list to the books that really make/made an impact.

The Bible - I usually make time to read it daily. Starts me off in the morning with a good frame of mind.
Anything and everything by Og Mandino. He got me back on my Christian walk many years ago.
Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. The Biblical view of money and what it is for. By applying these principles, we were able to get out of all debt (except for a mortgage) in 2 years. It makes you take a REALLY hard look at where money and things are in your life.
The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren
Everything by Max Lucado but especially It's Not About Me. He points out, quite correctly, that the world does not in fact revolve around me!!! Go Figure!

I wanted to thank you all for the lists. As I read I was simultaneously online with the library catalog and requesting titles. I thought they would come a little at a time. Well, I got to the library on Saturday and there was a pile of 20 books with my name on them! And thats just the start of my education...
So far I've read Champions of Body for Life
The Eat Clean Diet
The Eat Clean Diet Cookbook (loved it so much I bought it yesterday)
The Eat Clean Diet Workout (Tosca Reno is a true motivator; turned 40 at 200lbs and got smokin' hot thru pumping iron & eating clean- LOVE HER MOTIVATION)
1/2 Way thru the FOUR AGREEMENTS

and a funny thing- started reading Kate Chopin's The Awakening- almost done. My hubby asked me about it- racy and called ammoral, was out of print in the US for 60 yrs due to questionable content, published in 1899 ect. Excellent book, use of the English language seldom attempted anymore IMO, but I couldn't figure out why it was posted here.

It wasn't. It should have been The Grace Awakening! OOPS- Great read anyway!

These are all great books and I have read most. If I haven't I will read some that are listed and I missed. I have a 2nd edition printing of Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" in my Library.
