I wanted to share that I've found a HUGE source of encouragement, and I hope it can encourage others too. Last night I was going through a bunch of CDs I used to regularly listen to, and one of them was "Shake" by John Schlitt (lead singer for Petra). The last time I listened to it was at least 5 years ago, so I gave it a spin. I sat with my jaw hanging open through the whole disc and it felt like every single song was written for me! I had forgotten the positive messages in those songs, and with the issues I have been dealing with one song in particular jumped out at me. As you may have seen from reading my profile, I have some pretty big self-esteem ussues, and a really bad habit of digging up past embarrasments and put-downs and reliving them. Well, after hearing this song I have adopted it as my Transformation Theme Song, and it says EXACTLY what I need to hear! The song is called Don't Look Back, and it's a pumped-up heavy hitting rocker. Here are the lyrics:
