Today I celebrate Independence Day for many reasons. I woke up today feeling loved and supported by so many who have come to me lately. I woke up feeling like....I'm actually ok that Ed doesn't love me anymore! Imagine that. I woke up ready to celebrate the real me...the Sher that I have known has been buried deep down inside...and is finally seeing some light!

I have always loved this poem....and would like to share it with you as a reminder...no matter the pain, hurt, intense destruction we have had in our lives...deep down we know who we really are. We know the genuine us inside.

We know....and that's why we are here.

There are so many of you lately that have come to me with your encouragement, love and support...and to you I say PHENOMENAL YOU! I love you!

Phenomenal Woman

That poem is awesome. Have you heard the song version by Amy Sky? I used to put it on and dance around my house--you've inspired me to unpack my CD's. (we've been using the Ipods)
It's my belief that the love we share with someone doesn't die....we are just moving in different directions and it doesn't feel the same, so we don't feel the love. Do trust the good that you had in the experience, and hold it in your heart to build on for the future. It hurts to feel rejected, I know, I've been there. Give yourself time, and focus on anything that makes you feel good. Soon, that will be your natural state again.

teachnmommy & GoFigure - You know what's amazing? It's been all of 3 weeks since that whole event happened with me. And now, here I am feeling like I'm on top of the world and I can conquer anything. I can see my ex seeing me 6 mos down the road...or at some point....and then thinking he made a mistake. But you know what? I don't want him! I'm going to be so awesome when all this is said and done...and a phenomenal woman. And I deserve the wonderful man who will accept me and love me JUST THE WAY I AM.

I was talking to my hair stylist today and it was such a good talk. I was visiting with her at her house a couple of days after the breakup. She said she's been concerned and thinking about me daily. So I saw her today and she was like...WOW! You look awesome. You look happy! All she could say was she was so proud of how strong I'm being.

Of course at first, my automatic instincts were...me? strong? nahhh. But I have to give myself credit. I've moved on and I'm so excited about my future!

Bella..I don't get on as often as I would like these fewdays due to my broken computer ..using this playstation 3 has limits and is at times frustrating to say the least..my freind Jill came over and said "I couldn't put up with that for 1 minute!" I'm so glad to read that you are done thinking about your ex seeing you and what his response will be...doing this for YOU will always be the best reason.

I have two teenage daughters, and there has been a time when a boy had broken their hearts by ending the relationship. I've always reminded them that they don't want to be with a man that doesn't want to be with them! That they want to be with a man that adores them and cherishes them because he wants to, not because he feels obligated to simply stay in the relationship to save hurting their feelings. Please know that I'm not saying it doesn't hurt, because it does, but Bella, some man is going to be so in love with you and want to be with you and won't THAT just be a beautiful thing!

You are phenomenal Bella, strong, phenomenal, and you are just the woman some man out there wants to love simply for who you are...amazing.
