See where you're going before you get there

"See where you're going before you get there"

Now that you've taken your before photo and are clear about where you are starting from, it's vitally important to develop an image or vision of where you want to go. One of the ways you can do that is to find an example, possibly one of the success stories in this book, of someone who's made the type of transformation you admire and post them in some place where you can see them every day. Remember, the fact that they have succeeded is proof you can do it too! Focus on how good you will feel in that new, healthy, energetic body. The more you visualize your best body, the more empowered your mindset will become, and the more resolve you will have to get there. Imagine it day and night and let this fuel your success!
Bill Phillips-Lesson for Life-Success Journal Day 2

Every night when I go to bed, I lay there and visualize where I am going to be. I think of my goals and what I want to achieve. I have been out of shape for so many years now, I forgot what it was like to REALLY feel good about myself. Confident, ready to tackle anything. I want that again. It projects in the way I interact with people, the way I feel throughout the day and the way I handle obstacles. I don't want my self image to consume me, bring me down, cause me to miss out on the good things in life. My goal is to make this challenge the one, the one that takes me to my physical best. Even more so, the one that takes me to my internal best! Mind, Body & Soul! I am going to "Be the Change"!

What are your goals?
Hope you all have a great day!!

I can see myself finishing my 1st 5K run. I can't believe I'm even training for this. This will be huge for me when I cross that line!!
I can see it already!

I visualize the body I want, but more importantly what I am going to do with it....no, seriously. I will often times visualize myself, having more energy, playing with my kids, spending time previously wasted on the couch, with them. FUnny thing is, I am already doing that more. I hope, for thier sake, just as much as mine, this just keeps gettin better and better. But, yeah, that, I think, is what I like most about Transformation, and about being the change. It's not just about the body. Who cares WHAT kind of body you have, if you aren't able to enjoy it. I want to have the best body I can, so I can enjoy life more, and give to those I love.

Buccaneer, I have NEVER been a runner. That would actually be a great goal for me. If I did that and accomplished it, that would be huge. Be sure to let us know when you run it so we can cheer you on!

Bri- I hear ya. I have wasted so much time with my kids. It has been the last few months that I have started to change that. I had started making changes in my body last year, but my inside was only getting worse. I was worthless to my kids. You can achieve a great body, but, if you don't change what's inside, it's a waste. Now that I am not avoiding my kids so that I can go hide and smoke, I spend that time with them and I'm not stressed trying to figure out how I can go sneak off for another cigarette. That alone is huge. I have so many visualizations of things I am going to do. Sometimes I wake up and think DANG! it hasn't happened YET. It will though!

Visualization is a huge key and motivator for me. My mind holds onto a lot, but it "forgets" alot to. . I look at my dreamboard several times a day to see where I'm going. All my goals are right there infront of me. No forgetting or letting myself off the hook. It fires me up and keeps powerful images and mantras in my head throughout the day. I posted my most current one in the photos on my profile last night. I encourage you all to try it, even if on a piece of paper instead of a posterboard. It's a great tool.

I am stopping at Staples on the way home from picking up my daughters from school. We are going to buy 5 posterboards. The whole family is going to sit down and make this a family project. I have tons of magazines at work, so I am going to bring a bunch home. We are going to pull up photos on the internet. They are very, very excited about doing this. More so, about an art type project with the whole family involved! Several of the things I was going to put on mine, have already happened!!!!!! So now I get to create new dreams and goals! How exciting is that!!!
