Rightlight vs. Myoplex
I can't begin to tell you how fantastic and tasty Rightlight shakes are.
I was a dedicated fan of Myoplex, thought they were the best on the market for both nutrition and tastes, but even though it was the tastiest I still had to Doctor it up. Add a banana or blueberries or strawberries to give it more of a flavor. Plus I was filled up quick but it didn't satisfy me as much as I wanted it too. Rightlight, WOW, EXPLOSIVE!!!! I mean I can blend up a rightlight with nothing else but water and ice It's creamy, thick, satisfing to the taste buds and tummy. For a real treat, I add rightlight Plus and a banana, You HAVE to try this, It's like a pudding, I can hardly drink it from a straw it's so thick and creamy. Plus it fills me up for the next 3 hrs. It's light and it's right / RIGHTLIGHT!!!!!! ![]()

I tried right light a few month back and didn't really like it, I thought it had a bad after taste and not much flavor by itself. I went back to myoplex lite and it tasted much better. Recently I bought right light and regular right because the prices was really good. My reaction is the same... this stuff is not as good taste wise as myoplex. Not even close. Also myoplex mixed thicker which I like better and is a little sweeter too.

Well I doctored up the Right shake with some zero cal strawberry flavoring and it tastes quite nice. Don't know about the lite version of them.

Really??? WOW<, I have tried so many different brands of shakes and I was telling my husband how fantastic it was, I don't have to dr it up at all. It's perfect for my taste buds, I do find it very sweet.
But maybe that's because I can't stand the taste of sugar. My grandkids go nuts when I say I made lemonade and I didn't put any sugar. I love it plain. OH WELL! In fact last time I ordered Myoplex it was so nasty, I called and they said it must have gone bad and sent me another box, it was just as bad, I had everyone at the gym smell it and they all said somethings wrong with that so then then send strawberry and it smelled just as bad, I never called bad, just threw it all away 3 48 pack boxes, and necer bought it again. I think, (my opinion only) maybe EAS left it in a hot wearhouse or truck too long, they all had the same serial # Hey Bill, you got my vote on Right light and the buy one get one free was fantastic. Thanks Love, Linda

Huh. I guess it just goes to show that everyone's taste buds are different. I literally choked down Myoplex/Myoplex Light (it tasted/smelled fishy to me), but I don't have that issue at all with the Right products-- even +protein, which is very subtly flavored (much less sweet than Right or Right Light), tastes great to me.

Shakes are all about personal preference...
Some people love them because they are convenient, easy to make, and usually very satisfying. But nearly all brands take some getting used to, especially when you have never used them in your routine before. I am that rare breed of person who uses BOTH... Myoplex and Right Light. I feel uniquely qualified to speak to this issue. What you are noticing in Myoplex that is not in Right Light is an artificial sweetner. That is one of the reasons the Right Light or Right may seem less sweet to some palates. If that is the case you can use Sweet N Low or flavorings to alter the taste of a Right Light. I find the more subtle taste of the Right products to be an advantage. I use Clarissa's ROLODEX OF RIGHT recipes to make all sorts of other combos that taste different. I do DREAMSICLE and WEDDING CAKE a lot lately. :-) I find these shakes are more flexible and easier to change the taste as opposed to the Myoplex line. What I normally turn to Myoplex for are the RTDs. These are must-haves for me at work. I can't put a blender in my cubicle! And the shaker cups often leave something to be desired (and yes I have the one with the wire ball). Shakes are tools. If you like them and they make your life easier then use them daily! If you're not a fan then find a whole food alternative. It's that simple really. I'm a big fan of the Right products, but I see value in any shake that works for you. Don't be afraid to play with your options and try many brands. Just be sure to look at the label and ingredients to know what you are getting... |

Right shakes are good but I need the RTD's. I was hoping they would be out by now but I haven't heard anything. So, I am going to order some Myoplex RTD's. They will help me tremendously at work and when out and about.

I enjoy the Right Shakes as well, just like Brett said everyones palates are different and it does take time to get use to them. Although having a meal would still be more beneficial than a shake because a meal would satisfy out tummies much better, but for convenience sake then by all means have a shake. I have a couple reasons why I enjoy the Right shakes. =)

Yeah that's pretty kool isn't it?! When Bill first sent me some samples last May I was blown away with what the protein has in it plus it was easy on my tummy, I think that's where probiotic comes into play. Good stuff. =)

after using Right products, I can't choke down anything else. However, I must say, I *miss* my rtd's....so convenient!!!
I switched because of the lack of all the fake crud in Right. You cannot find, as hard as you may try, anything on the market right now as natural as "Right".

I've been using the GNC Lean Muscle for my shakes. The only flavor I like is vanilla because I can dress it up easier than any other flavor. However, I've been considering trying Rightlight BUT I don't want to buy a box only to discover I don't like it. Does anyone know if Rightlight is sold in trial packs at all?

I have a problem with soy protein, so Right Light is perfect for me. My order finally arrived yesterday! It is less sweet than most other protein supplement mixes, but I like that. It means I can "dress it up" any way I like without too much sweetness. It definitely had less of a "supplement" taste than other products. Now we'll see what it does for the body!

I finally got my first box of Right shakes last week. LOVE them. The chocolate shake by itself is wonderful.
I was so glad to see that they opted out of using aspartame with the Right line. While the ready-to-drink Myoplex didn't use it, the powder did and I absolutely could not drink it. I got to the point where I was literally holding my nose and trying to choke it down, hoping it wouldn't come back up on me, and then feeling miserable. Not with the Right shakes...they taste fantastic and are very filling!

I really like the right shakes. They are less sweet than myloplex but it feels good to be consuming a product that is trying more than ever to be good for you too. It is not only good for you, but the proceeds go to right cares and you can feel good about someone else having the opportunity to meet their health goals too. That's a product that I can stand behind.

I'm in the "no-flavor" camp. I had so many people tell me they are great with nothing but cold water in a shaker cup.... Ummmm not so much.
I bought the Right vanilla shake and thought it had no flavor at all. I did like that it mixed perfectly smooth and wasn't grainy like some powder mixes can be. Now I use one right vanilla mixed with ice and water and I add one crystal light individual packet for flavor. I still have to mix it in the blender and it fills a 32 oz fast food cup. They are very "foamy" Now that dear friends is very drinkable. If only Crystal light would switch from aspartame to splenda it would be perfect.
