Are you hungry when you have the last meal at 10:00 p.m? Are you losing weight eating 7 meals? It does not look like you are consuming alot of calories. Let your body tell you if you should eat the last meal. It will know. If you are not hungry....don't eat it...if you are do!

Actually, this is a very good question because sometimes we can get caught up in the whole "6 meals" syndrome.
"6" is not necessarily the magic number as much as eating every 2-1/2 to 3 hours. I have some clients who do shift work so, some days, when they are working 14 hour days, they might eat 8 meals and then the next day, they might only be awake for a few hours and eat only 3 meals. The idea is; from the time you open your eyes until you go to sleep, you should be consuming an authorized meal every 2-1/2 to 3 hours. There are days I start my meals at 5am so, on those days, I can certainly eat more than 6 times! Great, great post! Jilly is absolutely right on! If you feel as though you are stuffing down food, you could be eating portions that are too big. A lot of people fall into this trap, thinking that they have to eat if it's time. Hunger is a best factor in determining whether your portions are in tuned with your timing! Good job, Jilly! Last edited by DianneOrwig : 09-01-2008 at 08:35 AM. |
