Why Am I So Tired
I have been really watching my food this week and have been so tired and groggy, why would that happen?
Example of a day's eating: Breakfast: oatmeal (1/2 cup & wheat toast) snack: banana Lunch:chicken salad snack rangeDinner: turkey hamburger, wheat noodles, tomato sauce and a salad I am drinking water, maybe not as much as I should. Any reason I would feel so tired? |

Where's your protein for meal 1, 2 and 4?
Are you working out? If so, you need more protein in you! |

Working out using BFL. Some days I will eat egg beaters in the morning but maybe I need to add more protein.

You are eating very little - That is probably why you are so tired. It's a little hard to tell since you are not listing amounts but it barely looks like you are eating 1000-1200 calories. This is not enought to fuel your workouts and it is VERY low in protien to recover from your resistance training.
I recommend either trying to eat BFL style with a protien and carb at each meal. protien size of your palm and carbs size of your fist or check out this excellent blog from Clarissa http://www.transformation.com/rightl...rs---O-MY/1845

Breakfast is way too small, you need protein and some good fat in there ( your body has just fasted for hours) Snack, you need some protein in there........... Lunch, depending on what is in that chicken salad, you need veggies and complex carbs snack, I am not sure what you are consuming here.......... Lets add some good calories. You are probably training really hard, but your consumption is really low. |

Create a Body-for-LIFE Meal
Body-for-LIFE 7-Day Meal Plan that site has the basics. what helped me was joining dailyplate.com and tracking each and everything that went in my mouth and all my activity and then journaling how i felt during the day... it helped me gauge portion sizes and balance with protein/carbs and fats and the calories to give me the energy but stay within the bounds of being able to lose 1.5 pounds a week. i now have a good idea without having to track everything of what i can eat and what is "too much" and how to combine the right amounts of proteins and carbs to feel fabulous and have energy. good luck... this program does NOT mean you have to starve yourself. you are workin too hard to do that!! |

Following BFL means that you are consuming a palm size portion of protein (from the authorized list) and a fist size portion of carbohydrates (from the authorized list) at every meal. I would love for you to join us on the "Post Your Food" forum! As Troy pointed out (thanks Troy) you will really get a nice broad perspective of what eating EFL or BFL really looks like! In the meantime, please feel free to email me if you still have questions! I would be more than happy to help! Peace and Love Dianne |
