CLA Vs. Fish Oil or Flaxseed oil
I used to take CLA everyday, I ran out and the store was out so I bought fish oil. I also put flaxseed oil in shakes and pancakes, oatmeal or top off a salad.
Does CLA give the same benifits as fish oil gel caps or flaxseed oil? which is best? should I take all 3 or is one of them enough? am I just taking the same thing in different names? thanks

I'm sure someone out there knows more on this than I.. I stopped taking CLA when I read an indepth study article stating it provides virtually no benefits. I also have read enough places that fish oil is a great supplement to take along with flax or udo's oil. They are different. I take both and I think you'd be fine with fish oil & flax/udo's and skip the CLA. Dr. John Berardi of Precision Nutrition is a huge fan of high quality fish oil daily. Other than those & a multi-vitamin, I don't think there is really any other supplement worth they hype & $.

I totally believe in fish oil....if it is high quality and the right amount of EPA and DHA...it is awesome for many things....I can really tell the difference when I run out for a few days.

I agree with Imzwact (what is your real name?!!) - I think that fish oil, or Udo's oil, which is a blend of Omega 3-6-9 is better than CLA. There's also a company called Progressive (here in Canada) which makes a great oil blend -fish oil, and other oils for a complete mix of Omega's.

What would be considered the right amounts? Is there a difference between taking an all-in-one type as opposed to each individually? I always thought CLA was supposed to be a good fat mover, are we saying this is not necessarily the case?
