Protein Powder Vs. Right Light

Is there a difference between Vanilla Protein Powder & Right Light? I am making my menu list and some of the recipes in the EFL book call for Protein Powder and some call for Myoplex. On the ones that call for Protein Powder can I just use the Right Light or should I get Protein Powder. If I need to get Protein Powder is there any suggestions of which one to get?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey Carolynn, if it calls for protein, I would just add straight protein. RIGHTlight has carbohydrates in it, and even though it is tasty, it may change the composition of the recipe.

Have you tried +Protein by RIGHT?

Is there anywhere you can see the nutrition info for the Right/Rightlight products I have been curious but it doesn't seem to be posted at the store here. Susan

Thanks Clarissa, I didn't realize there was just Protein Right. I will order some now. Thanks for answering my question!

Yes, tok2me, look at my blog! I got the entire week menu done, shopping done and I am ready to rumble! Well actually there won't be any rumbling because I will have my food with me all week!! Thanks!

OK, so I'm a total dork! I was getting ready to order some and hubby tells me there is a huge bag in the cabinet.. Sure enough, there was a huge bag of EAS Vanilla Whey Protein powder in my cupboard. I had purchased a bag of Chocolate & Vanilla at least 6 months ago. (Is it still good?) We've been working on the Chocolate and I totally forgot we had the Vanilla. As soon as this is gone I am going to order up the Right Protein Powder.
Guess I should get to my "Reorganize Cabinets" on my to do list sooner then later. Still trying to get my bathroom finished. Then that is next!

There should be a "best before" or "used by" date on the packet somewhere which should tell you if it is technically still good.

I am in a similar situation. I purchased a 36 pack of Myoplex Deluxe mixtures and forgot all about them (as I still had a couple of tubs of whey protein I was using).

They are now out of date by a month, however, they were $140.00 AUD so I going to continue consuming them (I am still alive and haven't been sick yet). I imagine the downside is that the protein could be of a lesser quality (due to it breaking down).
