It depends how hungry you are. I find that if I am a bit hungry I opt for some cottage cheese. EFL has some great dessert meals that are very nutritious. My favorite is the Banana Cream Pudding or even the Cheesecake is really nice. Or you can do a shake. Depends on how you feel.
Wish you continued success my friend.
God bless

Cottage cheese is probably one of the best things you could eat ......even within the 2 hour mark because it has casein protein and that is a slow burning protein that your body will use as you sleep.

I personally love 2-3oz of string cheese with natural PB. The PB really fullfills the "sweet, junk" food craving and has a good fat in it without the hydrogenated oils...(if it's natural) I dunk the string cheese in it and it feels guilty but in all reality it's not.

I've been doing a "repair" shake about 30 min before bed (my 5th meal) It's got added protein and some glut in it. I only do 5 meals (after 3.5 challenges I've learned what works for me) as my Thyroid doesn't work thus I metabolize very slow. Prior to this I was always feeling overly sore but now it seem to be the ticket. I wake up ready to "get to it!"==Mike

The best advice is to keep it lower in carbs. This is the ONLY meal that I will sometimes take the carbs out of and it seems to make a difference. You can't burn the energy that close to bed. A low-carb shake like Rightlight is a great choice. Sometimes I might eat a few hard boiled egg whites and a handful of almonds or roll up a few slices of turkey. Most ot the time.....I like a shake.

I try to leave the carbs out before bed too (or keep it extremely light), as carbs lower the hunger hormone, ghrelin, and ghrelin needs to be at a high level to slip into stage 3 or 4 of sleep.
