I was heart broken when EAS discontinued the Cappacino Lite, so this is my take on it:
4 oz. skim milk 4 oz. cold left over very strong coffee 1/2 pkg Right Light Vanilla 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1/2 teas. sugar free hazel nut vanilla flavored syrup 10-12 cubes of ice. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top for garnish. Variation would be to split a pkg of vanilla and a pkg of chocolate meal replacment shake, use 8 oz cold strong coffee. Add flavoring of your choice. |

I just ordered the Right Light Vanilla and I can't wait to try it...since in the words of a member here, "taste like Betty Crocker Butter Cake Mix"...
But I am a Peanut Butter and Chocolate lover so once I get my taste of the Vanilla, I will have to order the chocolate and try something like that. These recipes you guys have shared are great. I never thought to add yogurt to the Key Lime one. I have tried that one or something similar in the past.

Inspired by favorite ice cream: Mint Chip Protein Shake
1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 4 oz. skim milk 4 oz. cold water 1 t. nestles sugar free quick 1/4 capful mint extract ton of ice. Blend til you get a wonderfully thick confection. Optional to add green food color, shaved dark chocolate, and sprig of mint. Variation: split a half pack chocolate and half pack vanilla MLR of your choice, add a small amount (about 1/8 teaspoon) of mint (not peppermint) flavoring extract. If more of a chocolate flavor is desired, add some chocolate flavoring or sf quick. I prefer mixing choc and vanilla proteins as I think they taste better than either on their own. Maybe it is just me and my weird tastes. |

Lately I've been digging the BSN dessert lean protein powder...banana nut bread mixed with 1 cup skim milk, a bit of ice cubes and about 1/4 cup water........you'd swear you were having a shake from Mickey D's!

Shake
Oops...not familiar with all the ways to post on the forums. I replied to someone with a recipe. Sorry. Anyway, Vanilla Right shake with a single sized Crystal Light Lemonade packet blended in with water and ice. I sometimes make lemonade ice cubes and put it in the shake mix too. Another one I love since I'm a chocoholic is Chocolate Right shake packet, 2 TBS Frozen Cool Whip Free/Lite and 1 TBS Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding and add water and ice. If it's my free day I use graham crackers to dip it out of a bowl. Mmmmm.

The mint is just mint extract found in the spice section of the grocery store. You can find a wide variety of coffee flavoring syurps in the coffee section of the grocery store (caramel, hazelnut, kuluha, raspberry, etc.). Hope this helps!

Yep, LeAnne was right, you can find the flavoring syrups in the coffee section of the grocery or big box stores. They have regular and sugar free. I opt for the sugar free.
There are also flavoring extracts in the cake decorating and spice section of the stores. Mint, peppermint, chocolate, coconut, almond, vanilla, etc. These are stronger. |

I used to be totally addicted to the frozen capuccino at a local gas chain, but at 250 cals per 8 oz (and the smallest cup was 22 oz), I just couldn't afford it! So, off I went to create a much healthier version for myself.
1 cup water 1 cup skim milk 1 cup cold brew (or strongly brewed) coffee 1 scoop vanilla protein 1 T SF chocolate syrup (hershey's) (okay, during PMS I go for 2 T) 1 cup ice Blend.....or just stir for a great iced coffee! This makes a LARGE drink, so you can share it or cut it in half. *Sometimes I add 1/2 t of SF caramel syrup for a yummy variation. |
