R2 - W6D41 My angel called me today

Hi, Debs! Welcome, welcome to our thread. WE are all here to be each others cheerleaders, and inspiration. Now as for the downloads...Do you have Itunes on your computer? If so, I will be happy to send you print screens to your personal e-mail address with step by step instructions on how to load them into Itunes. Or I can burn the mp3's to CD and mail them to you. Either way, just send me your information in a transformation e-mail. I will do whatever I can to help get you started. You will love this program. It's very doable, yet challenging. I'll be waiting to hear from you! ~hugs

Good afternoon, my C25K buddies! I have been having a very off week, and have not run since the race, exactly a week ago. I made up my mind last night that I was not going to let situations at home deter me from doing what I said I was going to do. So I made up my mind to go for my run today, with or without my daughter, holiday or not...I was going to get my run in today. My youngest daughter and I actually stayed up pretty late...rather we feel asleep around 5 am. WE were watching tv, and yes we were nibbling on snacks. I woke up around 11:00 or so, and as I lay there, I was trying to get myself motivated...trying to talk myself into getting up and doing what I said I was going to do. And then my wonderful friend, Robin, called me out of the blue. She read my blog from yesterday, and took time out of her day to call me and show me some love. Robin, you don't know how much you lifted my heart today. It was perfect timing. After a short convo, we said our goodbyes, and I got off my couch, got dressed, and took off for my run. I was scheduled to run my 28 minutes, Day 2 of Week 8. But after 10 minutes of running, it was like a I hit a wall. It took everything in me to keep running. At 20 minutes, I finally stopped, and walked for five minutes. I was a little dissapointed in myself at first. But then I thought, "Hey, I went from lying on my couch, well on my way to talking myself out of running, Robin called and lifted me up, and now I'm here...sweating my you-know-what off, and I did SOMETHING!!!" So I may not have met my goal, but I didn't just skip my run. Next time...I'll get that 28 minutes, you just wait and see.

Here are my stats:

July 4, 2009
Time: 25' 08"
Pace: 13:06 min/mi
Distance: 1.91 mi
Calories: 267

I wish you all a very Happy Forth of July! Here's to being independent, and not relying on others to make you happy. Go out and snatch that happiness. I'm back after letting myself derail and wallow...Time to get back on track and get ready for the next race! Luv you all! ~smuh-oooches
Robin ~ I love you so much.  Thank you, thank  you for reminding me that I am worthy of love...self-love.  This run is dedicated to you, my sweet friend!  I'm on my way, Sister!!
