3 Year Roadmap - 90 day action plan for Q1/12 (Oct - Dec/08):
Guiding principles:
I: I am 100% responsible for my life
M: I am a man & that means being a strong yet loving father, husband & friend
Z: Zen - fully living each moment with all senses & connection with higher power
W: Warrior - I am leader not allowing doubt or need for others approval
ACT! - I take ACTION as thats the only way to move forward
4: I live by life based on the 4 agreements
1. Sculpted Body
- do 10/10 transformation 12 week workout plan by Chad Waterbury (starting Friday, Oct 10th) following both exercise & nutrition guidelines.
- start friday night ice hockey to add to "intense cardio" on Oct 10th
- ensure fridge & meals always prepared ahead of time
- continue to visualize what sculpted body will look like
2. Web Technologies Certificate
- complete with 90%+ grade on course #1s
- schedule time to put more focus on each assignment
- look ahead to what course(s) to start in January to continue certificate program
- start communicating with friends/contacts that already know this stuff to get their tips, ideas
3. Coaching Skills
- complete Module 1 by Dec with complete understanding & confidence of applying learned skills
- schedule time for studies, coach practice
- confirm how to pay for module 2 to continue program
- continue to come to each class with an open mind willing to be a student & learn/share with others
- ensure no other distractions during study & online teleconference calls
4. Coaching Clients
- select from the Top100 at work, 20 coachable clients and start integrating the coaching skills into existing consulting model over the fall. From meeting in Banff recently, this has tremendous potential
- continue to visualize the warrior coaching services model for 2+ years away (after completing both web & coaching programs)
5. Living my passion for the Outdoors
- plan ahead to ensure a consistent weekend hike or paddle with family & friends where possible
- confirm up list of friends to lead on west coast trail hike in August of 2009
- ensure the TOP5 big day hikes are done in summer of 09 (Tusk, Panarama,Whistler/Blackcomb,Joffre,Opal Cone)
- lock-in to family calendar Friday nights & Sunday mornings for skiing at Grouse as soon as season opens. If playing hockey friday night - go skiing on another night. Goal: 2 ski's per week.
6. Saxophone
- as much as I want this to happen, it's tough with both my web & coaching courses to find time to do this.
- over next 90 days, I'll look to find some minimal scheduled time to get some practice in.
7. Latin dance
- continue to take dance classes weekly with my wife & friends
- PRACTICE! on weekends
- be willing to go to dances with wife/friends to practice and have fun
- take current course again to strengthen skills
8. Community/volunteering
- it was fun coaching kids baseball last year so look to assist or coach again next spring
- once web & coaching skills more mastered, see what volunteering can be done in those areas
- next summer, reach out to friends kids to lead them on smaller hikes & go out for a treat after.. to get them more appreciating nature
- continue to give a % of pay to charity
9. Family camping
- confirmed style of trailer we want (continue savings plan to purchase one in early 2010)
- book campgrounds ahead of time for summer 09 starting earlier in year (pre-mosquito season) to ensure we have them locked in
- have friends join us whenever possible
- the kids love camping so we'll make sure we do more of it in 09 and once we have the new trailer, explore more of the BC & western states.
10. House/Financial
- don't panic with current financial crisis. Funds are in for long-term so they will bounce back over time.
- keep eye on interest rates to see if it makes sense to convert variable to fixed term
- stay the course with existing savings strategies (see financial planner this month)
- take care of the minor house repairs that need to get done this fall




WOW!!! Good think you have so much energy from eating right and exercising, cuz this is a great plan!
