Lesson #6 - Progress not perfection
A great lesson. Our society is bombarded with the quick fix, instant gratification and it takes real discipline to not get caught up by it all. I feel what really helped me get more focused on "progress" was reading the book Mastery by George Leonard over a year ago. Helped me realize that mastery is in the journey itself, not the end result and that one must enjoy the reality of the plateau and through that, further progress will come.
For progress points:
- I am way more consistent in daily habits of doing whats right for my health & body. It truly has become a daily habit and one that is engrained in my mindset.
- I am reaping the rewards of this improved health by being more active with friends & family.
- I am taking a much closer look at other areas of my life that could also become more fulfilling. I think that's the real success of this journey in that improved health builds confidence to make progress in all areas.




This is amazing advice. Thank you for posting it. I think i will be lookiing for that book and put it on my must read list.
