Lessons I've Learned
Having just recently finished the 18-week challenge, I've learned several things.
First: champions do the work and reach their goals.
Second: Bill has provided us with the wisdom he's spent a lifetime accumulating. Follow his program to a T and you will succeed. How do I know? Because I goofed-off. Most of the time I ate clean. I did the inner work. However, I refused to journal (I think commiting something to writing seemed like too much of a commitment and it scared me!). And, after about Week 12, I started blowing-off the work-outs more and more. This hurt, that hurt. I was "too busy." All lame excuses. Yet, in spite of myself, I trimmed down 13 pounds and am ready to move down a size in clothing.
Third: the people on this online community are the best resource for support and encouragement. Use it. This website is free, yet the information contained here and the support of others is priceless. Get involved and you'll be doing yourself a huge favor.
Fourth: I could have been a champion, too, if I had followed Bill's lessons to a T, honored my intentions when I began the transformation and stayed the course. I, too, could have reached my goals and joined the ranks of the wonderful champions I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting personally - Sharen, Marty, Shane, Mellie, Clarissa, Heidi, Diane, Denise, Joe Pimental. They are beautiful selfless people more than willing to help others reach their goals.
As the next transformation begins, I will re-dedicate myself to the challenge. I will follow Bill's lessons. I will eat clean and exercise my body. I will keep a journal. I will record my progress and I will reach out to others - newbies and old T-friends - with renewed energy and focus.
I love champions. I love their energy and their sense of purpose. They walk the talk and they are living the transformation dream.
Yes, I do love champions. The question is: do I love myself enough to be one? Do you?

love your post. I'll love myself into being a champion, you love yourself into being a champion, and we'll be champion buddies! Thanks for sharing.
I'd say your 18 weeks proved to be rather fruitful. Progress my dear. Digging deep and then going deeper to finally be brutally honest with ourselves is what keeps us on target. You'll get there and we will help you. Love, ~Sharen~
Jackie, your honesty is awesome. Knowing where you are is as important as knowing where you want to go. I hope you are celebrating your PROGRESS. New attitudes and behaviors take time to settle in and lots of practice. You are well on your way. If I can help with any support that can assist your next challenge, please let me know. Meanwhile, lets get those party hats on and celebrate progress, health and having the lights back on!
