Thank You Jackie for the Hugs and the encouragement! I needed both!! I've slowed up on the running. Trying to let the knee get used to it. think I may have been a little too 'gun-ho' with my start. But have gotten up to doing 2 miles (on the treadmill) without stopping. How are you doing? Sending you Hugs w/Love, and wishes for a Fantastic Tuesday!!! love, Dixie

I Am

.....Jackie, a middle-aged woman and student of life. I am a wife, sister, aunt and friend. I am a child of God and as His student, learning the power of the words, "I Am." "For thou shalt declare a thing and it shall be so." I therefore declare that in my heart I AM a 2009 Transformation champion. I will hold these words and my vision of success close until they are manifested in my experience and I Am in reality a 2009 Transformation champion!

My Favorite Charity

Food Bank of the Rockies and Heifer International

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation to me means transcending the ordinary to live an extraordinary life in body, mind and soul. It means reaching out to help others so that I might help myself. This musical tribute is for Sharen - who never sleeps!

My Goals

1. Physically: Lose 60 pounds and be fit and healthy. A size 8 would be perfect for me. 2. To run/walk the 1/2 Denver Marathon in October of 2009. 3. Emotionally: Let go of the past and be fully present each day. 4.. Spiritually: Forgive, reach out to others, and love as though my salvation depended on it - because in truth it does! 5.. Community: become active in community service beginning with the Food Bank of the Rockies.

My Intentions

I intend to reach my goal weight of 116 pounds by August 17, 2009. I intend to run the Denver 1/2 marathon in 2009. I intend to inspire those of my generation to take charge of their health and to stop popping pills and looking to the medical establishment to fix what we have the power to fix for ourselves with clean eating and exercise.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I am a woman in my 5th decade. It is my goal to inspire "baby boomers" to reclaim their power from the medical establishment and regain control of their health and their lives. And if I can inspire even one young "Gen X'er" or "Gen Y'er" to eat clean and exercise, well, that would be the crowning glory of my transformation!
