I Am

I am a wife and mother of 4. I am studying to be a teacher for 6-8th grade math. I will complete this in December 2010. This is my story: In 1999 I gave birth to our second child weighing in (after the birth) at about 220 lbs at 5'3". Shortly after his birth I woke up one morning and had it with my body and unhealthy ways. Friends at work had talked about BFL, so I decided to look into it. After stumbling through the eating and exercise in the beginning it became my way of life. I lost 80 lbs and was in the best shape of my life. There was nothing I wanted to change about my life or my body. Then I got pregnant with our 3rd child at the end of 2001. For the first time in a few years I ate pasta and bread for lunch (no wheat noodles or red sauce for me). The weight came back FAST! When our 3rd child (another daughter) was 4 months old I got pregnant with our fourth child. Our family was complete with 2 boys and 2 girls. The weight that was best for me was 140-145 lbs, but I haven't seen that since early 2002. I have managed to get to about 160 lbs, but now sit in the upper 100's (almost 200). It is my time to take control and responsibility for my life in order to help those around me. It is not selfish of me to want to help myself because that is the only way that I can help others. My family needs me just as much as I need them, so now is the time to make things right for all of us.

My Favorite Charity

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation for me is to take control of my life in order to inspire those around me. Transformation takes place from the inside out and the physical aspect is a huge bonus that comes along for the ride.

My Goals

Jan 1st, 2010 challenge goals:
1. Lose 30 lbs of scale weight (200.4 currently to 170.4)
2. Pant size from 18 (ouch) to 12 and shirt from xl to m
3. Inspire atleast 1 other person in my life to live the challenge

My Intentions

My intentions are to live the bfl way of life in all areas. I intend to complete the challenges as they are written and work through the adversities that come my way.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Everyone! I would like to inspire anyone that needs a little uplifting. It can be someone that is already at goal weight or someone just starting out, but everyone needs inspiration from time to time. In my own life I would like to inspire my husband and sister. My husband does not need to lose weight, but he has many unheathly eating habits. It will take both of us to set our children on the right path. My sister has gained weight with me over the years and I would like her to see that we can do this together and be healthy, happy hot mamas!
