Week #8 and #9

I have taken these last two weeks to really focus on and review Assignments #1-#7. I am also trying to work hard on planning my meals and my exercise. I am the kind of person that really needs to have a plan...to keep me on track. I am really looking forward to Dallas and to me

Week #7-What a week & assignment #7

What a week! I have been out of town with my daughter...now we are home...good and tired! We went to Vegas for a dance competition and her team did really well. Thank you for thinking of me Kim! I appreciate you and I'm still moving forward, not backward (thank goodness) I know I will always move forward sometimes at a snail pace (LOL) but I know that's okay too! Hope all is well for you! Thanks again, I'm touched. Lori

Kim...you are a great friend and I will miss you next Saturday. I know that I can do the 1/2 marathon but it won't be the same. My wife is going to walk the 5k with her friend so they will be close by and that will help a ton. I could have backed off and done the 10k or 5k but I'm going to take another opportunity to finish a 1/2 marathon....besides, I need another medal....oh its going to be fun. I may take my bluetooth and talk to you on the phone a couple of times to help me get through the race. What do you think? Willing to talk to me while I'm walking? Oh, and I may try to jog a little too. We will see.

Kim, you rock girl! My feet are killing me too. My butt and hips still hurt too. I am getting better and I'm still working out. Its amazing how long it takes to recover. I'm planning on doing another half marathon a week from Saturday. This is going to be tough, but I need it. I hope you continue to keep making great progress. You are doing awesome and I love you. - Denny

Kim, it was so great meeting you in Dallas this weekend. All three times! LOL! Oh, that was too funny that I introduced myself to you twice within about ten minutes. And then told the story in front of you about introducing myself to, "some lady" and you stopped me and said, "Dave, that was ME!" LOL! Yes, my memory is that bad! So great to have met and spent time with you and youjr husband, "Bob?" LOL! Uncle Dave

Hi Kim: I'm so happy to hear your husband has found work! that's fantastic. I know there are a bunch of people in the community who have faced tremendous upheaval during this recession. I am also excited to see you've continued to make progress on your transformation. Good luck to you. -Sean

Hi Kim--are you the same Kim that is Denny's accoutability partner? yes or no, you are on an incredible journey. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter--this has got to be the most painful thing for a mother to go through. I sure wish I could help you in some way. I hope you'll stay in touch with me so I can give you all the support you need. Much love, Jenny.

I Am

I'm really not sure who I am any more...I guess that's what this is all about for me. The last 6 years have been very difficult for my family and me. I still can hardly even write the words...my 15 year old daughter was raped and then had a baby from that rape. The last six years were full of police, courts, lawyers, money issues, trying to help my daughter, and keeping the rest of my family going. Somewhere in all this I lost me.

My Favorite Charity

St Judes Childrens Hospital

To me, Transformation Means

becoming whole...inside and out...mind, body, and soul.

My Goals

I would like to enjoy life again and to be able to stop always looking over my shoulder for the next bomb to drop. I would like to prove to myself and my family that you can find your way out of hard times and come out better than you were, to have learned from where you have been and to use that to help others.

My Intentions

To finally follow through. To become whole and to find peace with what has happened.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

my kids...all 5 of them!
