I Am

I turned 40 years old on June 3. Age has never been a factor that has bothered me at all. When I turned 30 it did not have an impact on me. My best friend from college sent me an e-mail to wish me a happy birthday. I had not heard from her in years. It made me realize that it's been 20 years since I was carefree and having fun. I am engaged. I have been engaged for a few years. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Life is on hold, waiting for me to get into shape. I want to live my life now and appreciate each day. So many days have passed by unappreciated. It is time I give back to God, those who love me, and myself. I have been scared to live. How many people who would love to have a chance to live? I am tired of hiding behind this wall. I am going to break free and set the world on fire!
