Hi Lori, I was checking the "Breastfeeding" mom's group, which seems pretty inactive, but noticed you were on it (as well as Mellie's crew), so thought I'd stop by. You're before and after pics are incredible....what a tummy even after 2 babies in less than a year and a half...Great job. Hope the 2010 challenge is going great for you as well.

I Am

I am a mother of three awesome children who never fail to delight me on a daily basis. I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, currently doing more administration than therapy. I completed my first of three Body for Life Challenges in 2003 (although I never actually "entered") - my most recent 12 week challenge was 2006 and I achieved physical changes that I was very proud of. I have had two babies in the past two years.

My Favorite Charity

Alliance for a Healthier Generation

To me, Transformation Means

unveiling my true self. Casting off the doubt and insecurities and trusting in the future that I cannot yet see. Allowing healthy, positive, radiant energy to predominate and minimizing negative energy.

Being present with myself, my family, and my friends. And not being caught in the quagmire of my analytical thinking and miss the whole experience.

My Goals

1.I will follow an EFL program and Exercise 6 times per week – 3 HIIT and 3 Strength Training This is the most efficient way to regain my energy.
I need to keep up with my children and be a healthy role model.
I will be in better shape (body fat percentage and measurements) than I was in 2006 (after my most recent BFL challenge)

2. I will attend church consistently throughout the challenge (at minimum 10 times – currently not making it regularly).
3. I will journal daily - food/exercise/daily goals/limiting thoughts and beliefs and work on progress – I will also include what I am grateful for – of which I have much to be thankful for.

4. I will make time for T.com and connect with the community every day.

5. I will finally complete the ACE certification exam which I have been putting aside for years – My goal is to work with youth/fitness
6. I will run a 5K with my 12 year old daughter.

7. I will spend patient/quality time with the two babies every day.

My Intentions

To be mindful of beauty - not take time for granted - to discover new friendships - to fulfill my purpose

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I would like to inspire other Moms who are working on regaining their bodies after having children and develop strategies to achieve family balance that will benefit others.

I would also love to inspire my children (particularly my 12 year old daughter) to remain active and fit despite fattening and sedentary temptations.
