All the signs pointing in the right direction...

It is such an awesome feeling to become aware of the Holy Spirit speaking to you.  It really is true.  Ask and you shall receive.

I pray every morning for God's guidance.  It find it so mind blowing and incredibly awesome how He answers me...and I find it utterly amazing how the timing is always perfect and even more amazing that I finally get it!  Instead of asking for God's guidance and then going about my day and ignoring the signs, l am hearing, and seeing them everywhere and as a result, I experience God's favor non stop.  WOW!  Life is good.

Since starting this transformation challenge, my attitude toward eating and exercising is really changing.  It's not just forming the habit as it was with the previous BFL challenge, my feelings toward food and how I treat my body are really changing.  My husband and I are getting ready to go on vacation for 10 days.  I have been a little worried about how I would handle 10 free days in a row.  I have already made up my mind that I am going to relax and not worry about following a certain plan to a t.  I think part of making a true transformation FOR LIFE is learning to handle situations like this and then then coming home and WANTING to get right back in the routine.  I plan on eating healthy most of the time, but allowing myself to eat some unauthorized foods as well.  Anyway, I have to admit I have been a little worried about if I would end up just going crazy on the junk food.  The last time I was stuck (yes, I said stuck - lol) with DH in the  motor home for a long period of time with him chain smoking and eating candy and Dairy Queen, i ended up eating ....well, lets just say it wasn't pretty and when I came to I still had lots of white powdered sugar on my face! :)

I have been praying and asking God to guide me and give me strength.  Yesterday, a friend of mine made a post about how she was going to be surrounded by junk food at work that day and knew she could rely on the strength of the Holy Spirit to keep her from caving to temptation.  That spoke so loudly to me.  This morning I have several inspirational emails that are speaking to me as well.  Here is one from Ralph Marston:

Where you will soon be

+++++++++++++++++++

A small effort now can make a big difference later. You can dramatically increase the effectiveness of your actions simply by taking them sooner.

As you go through the moments of this day, you are creating many of the circumstances in which you will live tomorrow. A few small, positive actions right now can bring great value as you move forward.

You cannot change where you already are. Yet you can have a significant and dramatic effect on where you will soon be.

Live this moment with joy, with purpose and with passion.

And use this moment to inject into your life and your world the kind of substance and value that can last a lifetime.

You cannot instantly change your circumstances. You can, however, instantly change the direction in which you're headed.

Point yourself firmly and resolutely in the direction of your dreams. For where you choose right now to go, is where you will soon be.

Ralph Marston

That is a reminder to me that I am heading in the right direction and the choices I make today, tomorrow and the next day will all impact my future.  I GET TO choose.

The letter and video Bill Phillips posted in his blog about Sharen really spoke to me today as well.  It's just amazing how God is working in my life and how much better life is when I choose to listen.  I am really not craving a lot of junk food like I have in the past.  I am craving fresh fruit and Sara Lee whole wheat bread.  Mmmmm.

I will be leaving in the morning.  I am packing the Bible, some motivational books, and my daily devotionals from Joel Osteen. I have my MP3 player loaded with uplifting music.  I know the Lord will keep sending me signs pointing me in the right direction!

When I return, I will be preparing to get back to lifting weights after many weeks of recovery!  I can't wait!
