If there were no adversity, how would we achieve great things?

That thought just came to mind as I was sorting through how I will handle my sons situation. He has had some issues behaving, has had some agression towards other kids, trouble making friends at school and not doing well with school work. At first, I tried the gluten free diet. I had heard gluten ca...

Dorie, Dorie, Dorie, I miss you!!! Hello, how are you? I know it has been a while since I dropped by but Transformation was heavy on my heart today and I wanted to drop by to say first “Hello” and I also wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope that you are still doing well on your transformation journey. If you have fallen off the wagon, I want to encourage you to dust yourself off and get back up. Life does get hectic and I know things happen. I know all about life happening but wanted to get back to what is important to me….and that is this transformation journey. I have still been doing it on the side but definitely need my support from my friends here at t.com. So on a final note…wishing you a great day and a remaining week. =) Hugs. Trisha

Dorie, Dorie, Dorie, How are you? I mean seriously .....how are you? A great quote I found today and wanted to share it with all my friends on t.com “Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”~ Mark Victor Hansen. So have a great week and keep focusing on the positive, you can do this...we are all behind you on this. Keep smiling and know that where you have been is different than where you are going....you can and will transform. ~ Trisha =)

Hey Dorie how are you? I want to first apologize to you that I owed you a message a while ago. I have been so busy. I am just getting back to t.com. Hope everything is going great. I started my new Transformation challenge yesterday. I am so excited to be back at the challenge...and a challenge it has been, as I re-read the book, I know that Bill said there were times that were tough...and I guess that is why it is called a "challenge". My life has been crazy since taking the job back in October and it has taken time to adjust but I know that with out a doubt my life was more complete when I was focusing on the challenge, as part of the community and it was changing me inside. I know the things I learned were "priceless" and it has never been forgotten. I am back to progress to the next chapter in my life. I am back to keep transforming...to make this the year, I conquer this!! Hope you have an amazing week!! Hugs =) Trisha

Hey girl, sorry it took me so long to answer you! How are U? I've been out of the transformation loop but Kevin and I are still running. Ran the Rock and Roll marathon a couple of weeks ago. Miss you!

Hello Dorie, how are you? How is life? How are those beautiful children of yours? With Christmas just 5 days away & the New Year approaching, it is a new chance to take an evaluation of your life, the things that are important to you; things like your family, your health & your soul. To me, I am already taking evaluation of these things because God spared my son’s life last week when he was being a Good Samaritan and then the man turned on my son...You can read about it at the blog on my profile. Life is short, yet we can make the best of all the time we have on this earth. There is so much good in the world & especially in this community....let us not lose sight of encouragement we can give to one another through this journey. I have not been on here as much as I have wanted to be due to a LOT going on in my life. I just worked 12 days straight but I am so grateful for a job...another blessing sent my way this year. As you look back over 2010...and look ahead to 2011...May your TRANSFORMATION Journey be the best it could ever be...and as you are transforming on the inside and out...may you remember that life is a GIFT....to be treasured every second of every day ~ Remember I treasure “YOU” TODAY =). Love & hugs ~ Trisha

Hello Dorie, I hope you are doing great. I am still talking about all those little girls at your house. =) I hope your last month has been a good one & that going into the Holiday season it will be one of the most inspiring times of the year for you. I just want to take the time to say "I truly hope you are doing good on your transformation journey, whether you are at the beginning, middle or end"...it is a journey...and one that can not be treated lightly. I know I have not been around to encourage most of my friends here on t.com and for that I apologize. Upon returning from Denver on Oct 19th, I began a new job on Oct 21st.(new jobs are always exhausting while learning everything) as well as I have been dealing with my thrown out back (some good days & some bad)...but either way I wanted to stop by to say "hello" to all my t.com friends. I have missed being online like I use to but I am so grateful to have a job in this economy. I want you to know that I just stopped by because "I was thinking about you"...and although this is a group message...I want you to know I came by your profile page. We can not do this on our own~ we need one another, the encouragement, the advice, the motivation, etc. We all need to just stop long enough to breath and say " YOU MATTER to ME =)." May your holidays and weeks ahead be some of the best days of your lives and although I might not always be on here...know I am thinking about you, and that I do care even if you do not see me on here much. Hugs =) Trisha

Thanks for turning in that phone, it was Heidi's! If you'd like to throw a holiday gathering I think that would be nice. Post in the CO group and the main forum like Joe usually does. We are gone most of November so not sure if we'll make it though. Great seeing you again, too, and congrats on your accomplishment!!! Hug the little ones, too, extra tight from me. :) ~S~

Hey Dorie... adversity does strengthen doesn't it? Not that that makes it any easier at the time, but it does make it worth it! The best part of Denver was just being with people who share a common desire for living fully, we are all so different yet we share that and it's an amazing energy to be around and in. Will be praying for your son and his progress with those agitated emotions, it is so good that you are attending to it intensely now, so he will be ready as life gets more complicated as he grows up! Yup, Mom will know just how that is ;-) Blessings, Trish

Hi Dorie! I will indeed try to make it to one of your get-togethers. I went to an amazing talk about Kilimanjaro so I wasn't able to make it this week, but hopefully soon! You are so cute in person! It was really nice meeting you! Bethany

Dorie... the race packets must be picked up by US, in person, with id and race confirmation sheet in hand(it's in the last notice from the marathon, need to print that out) at the expo from 12-7 on Friday, and also times on Saturday but we will all be in the t.com summit. http://denver.competitor.com/event-info will tell you everything, in case you don't have it. See you there soon! Blessings, Trish

I Am

I'm a happy mother of three. I love my children and husband and want to enjoy them to the fullest. I have completed my first 18 week challenge and I am looking for others to encourage and journey with throughout the growth of Transformation.com. I have a heart for the children that end up obese due to their parents lack of knowledge and sometimes motivation. I have compassion and understanding for the people that end up obese because they have had some hard pressed times and dealt with it by eating. I want to be a great example to them and this is why I am seeking a challenge to keep me accountable and reach my goal!

My Favorite Charity

March of Dimes, Make a wish, Childrens Mericle Network.

To me, Transformation Means

For me, Transformation means, always having a goal and continually meeting those goals. Being happy and healthy and learning to recognize my faults so that I can continue to stay on track. Living life to the fullest instead of watching it pass me by! Encouraging others to do the same.

My Goals

Of course for my next 18 week challenge, my goals have changed. Before: My main focus right now is to get our of my depressive rut. I want to be a happier mommy for myself and my children. I am not happy as a heavy person. I need to improve my self image, inside and out. My weight goal is to go from 170 to 135 by the 18 week transformation while still keeping my milk supply as a breastfeeding mother. I need to find that delicate bal lance in calories to obtain this goal. I want my husband to be attracted to me again, not just physically but because I am fun and happy.I also want to be an inspiration to others.

Now: I am a much happier mommy. My husband is attracted to me again and comments on my progress on a constant basis. Still have a weight goal. The first challenge, I lost 19lbs> This challenge I plan to loose 20 more and get to a goal weight of 130lbs. with beautiful long muscles. I am no longer Breast feeding and will continue to eat the "right" way. It makes eating so simple. I have a goal to get ready to run a haf marathon. this will be the first race I have ever run! It's october 16th in Denver and I hope to see all of you there. Lastly, I want to be more helpful to others, in the Transformation community and in my town. My goal is to find a way to get better aquainted to both.

My Intentions

I intend to meet my goals and stay in touch with the community on transformation.com so that I can stay accountable and in return help others to reach their goal. I intend to give my children a happier and healthier mom and make healthier choices for the family. I intend to learn as much as I can about nutrition and fitness so that I can help others obtain their goals, to give back the support I am receiving for myself.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Mostly to my mom who is morbidly obese. I want my children to see how to grow up healthy and maintain that health for the rest of their lives. I want to inspire everyone that needs it and know that Transformation.com is a great way to do it but I will also help thos that don't have access to this wonderful community and share the assignments with them so that they can also be the change.
