Hi Gregory =) I noticed the group you started recently which helped me notice you are located in bay area. Did you know there is currently an active SF Bay Area Group? We meet each week to review the book chapters and on the first Saturday of each month just to get connected with a wider group that live too far to come each week. Deb in the post below joins us each Wednesday from Silicon Valley. Just wanted to invite you to join us until group becomes larger and we can break up into smaller groups? Look forward to meet you soon. ~Penny

Your I Am: I've been searching for self for months now Gregory so I relate to you on this point quite well. What I've learned is I'm not what I do, what I own, what people think of me or even, often times, what I think of myself. I've been on a quest for my essence and every now and again I get a glimpse like the sun peeking out from behind a wall of dark clouds. This process is awakening me bit by bit as I know it will you if you give yourself to it fully. Thank you for your friend request. Let's step out in faith together and trust. ~Michael~

i saw your post in the Risers group today and hope the best for you, this is a great community and way to make yourself accountable, and at the same time give support to others. Yeah, i get that reaching out is hard for a lot of us, i am also a drunk, 5/5/06 sobriety date and other than that "bottom" I have only asked for help with one more aspect of my life and that is why I am here. Only in my 3rd week but off to a very productive start and am looking to find accountability partners, so if you are are ready to jump in I'd ;like to be a part of this journey with you. Good luck Johnj

A big welcome to a beautiful transformation! This wonderful site is changing lives all around the world one person at a time. I know that it has absolutely changed, and saved, my life. I now feel like an athlete instead of a slug! I think that if you watch the videos it will say everything. I have met these people and they are beautiful! Melanie

Gregory, It sounds like you have a lot of great reasons to want to embark on a transformation journey. I can’t think of a better reason to want to transform than to be your happiest and healthiest self so that you can better serve your little boy and those that you love. I know that I not only benefited from my transformation, but my community, husband and 6 children did too! Here’s to you and your journey and to becoming the person you were created to be. I love how you not only mentioned the transformation of your physical being, but that you understand that it requires an internal change as well! Here's to YOU! If there is anything that I can do for you to help you get started, I’d love to help! Leslie

I Am

I'm a 33 year old man, with a very handsome little 2 year old boy. Beyond that, I'm not going to say who I am or what I care about. I've come to question most of the stories I've told myself over the years about who I "think" I am, and what I "think" I care about. I'm looking to discover, perhaps for the first time, those very things.

To me, Transformation Means

I'm looking to transform a few things in myself:
* To find a new passion for living
* To find a new path for authentic living
* To find a new self-love and respect

My Goals

Specific, measurable goals for this 18 week period:
* To drop below 180 lbs
* To finish a half-marathon
* To raise $2400 for L&LS
* To stay sober!
