Maria, I enjoyed meeting you. I wish we had been able to get all our group members together for a little while or go eat as a group. I went for a 1 mile walk / 2 mile jog / 1 mile walk tonight. I think it felt worse than the run Sunday. Tell Doug hi. George

Hi Maria, Glad you are making progress with the injury. My Sports Med Doctor has been talking about surgery and 2 PT's and a Chiropractor like to give a lot of warnings..There is a saying "No sense in being a fool about it"...and i'm cooling it with certain training and ice 3 times a day. Actually my dear friend i know you have had a lot of pain..mine isn't so painful it's realizing some limitations... Best wishes, Tom

I Am

I am a 45 year old wife, mother, and teacher and I believe in the saving grace of our Lord and redeemer Jesus Christ. I care deeply for others and try to lend a helping hand when ever needed. I am devoted to my husband and children. I want to help others but my physical body gets in the way. I have been over weight for 20 years and enough is enough,it is time for a change. My desire is to get fit and active so I can do so much more for others and to regain my self esteem.

My Healthy 2010 CHALLENGE Goals


Start as of Jan., 2010- Body fat 36, BMI 33.6

Long Term Goal:
50 pounds/ reduce body fat to 25% BM I 24%

1. Short Term Goal:


LTG:
Eat healthy on a consistent basis

STG:
Follow Eating for Life Plan including 6 meals of protein and carbs balanced and portion controlled daily and a minimum of 10 -8 oz. glasses of water daily

LTG:
Have a healthy body for the rest of my life.

STG:
workouts at the minimum which include 4 days of cardio and 2 days of lower body weights for the next 61 days (Unable to perform Upper body at this time- doctor’s orders) I must also use lower weights and higher reps for my LB- also doctor’s orders

Long Term Goal:
To help others find health and fitness
1. STG: Get involved with church activities

2. STG:

Purpose: My physical goal to lose 30 pounds by Mother's Day will enable me to build endurance and gain energy, keep the blues away and to enable me to meet my other goals of helping others and being a positive example to those around me.

Obstacles:
Myself, my knees and my shoulder.

Resources: GOD, Doug, Marty, Coach,Chris, Transformation.com, participation and encouragement to others in my group, church, and Bible study
