I haven't been around as much as usual, but that's not indicative of anything other than trying to get all of my homework done in advance before Dallas, prepping for Dallas, and reading self help material to help me deal with my fear of flying! My diet is OK.

I Am

♥In around Sept 2008, I weighed 335 lbs. On Jan 4th 2009 when I came to Transformation, I weighed 285 lbs. This is me when I began my transformation journey. This is where I came from.

♥ 2010 January Challenge Pics

February 15, 2010 - June 21, 2010

Week 1 -

Welcome to my page!!! My name is Mary. I love to laugh hard, laugh loud, and laugh often!

When I started the transformation process, I truly believe I was at rock bottom. My highest weight was 335 and when I started at t.com I was at 285. I could hardly walk, the love of my life left me, the company I worked for laid me off, I was stuck in an endless cycle of food addiction and self loathing, and I had no idea who I was aside from the morbidly obese girl.

This community has given me back my will to live, my smile, my hope, my belief in myself, my belief in other people, my health, spirituality, my passion for nutrition, and my passion in general back. I cannot say enough about this community, but I truly believe that without it I wouldn't be here right now. If you are a food addict, first I want to tell you that you CAN break free with determination and hard work. Second of all I want to tell you to connect with an accountability group. If you need any encouragement, please send me a message.

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation for me meant the death of my old self;
the habits, the patterns, the self doubt, the self loathing, morbidity, the addictions, the settling for a miserable existence because I didn't think that I deserved any better
And the birth of my new self; sees wonder and beauty in this world, lives life with the intention of love, doesn't need addictions or short term fixes to get through life, loves to make others smile.

My Intentions

I would like to overcome obesity and be that inspiration for someone else. I want to help people to overcome addiction, loss, and fear to realize that life is meant to be lived and that they are capable of having control and living the life of their dreams.

To become someone who embraces the ups and downs of life with grace, and to know that the low points are part of the process and an important part of growth.

To create a positive ripple effect by living a life that helps others enjoy their day just a little more by having had contact with me, even if it was just a smile in passing.

David Wolfe wrote this, but it just about sums things up for me!

"Today I give Thanks In My Heart for the opportunity to make a difference in the world.

I understand that I can build on yesterday’s achievements and I accept that responsibility.

I know that within me is an amazing natural potential and that it is my birthright to manifest that potential.

I understand that this may be a subtle achievement recognized only by myself.

It may be in the smile I give to a stranger.

It may be in the peace I bring to the world. It may be in the love I allow to flow through my heart.

Iunderstand that my mission is to bring all of my thoughts, words andactions into harmony with the life purpose that is encoded within me.

I therefore dedicate this day to the expression of that purpose.

Ichoose to live in harmony with my highest destiny. I choose to be theembodiment of my mission and I accept with a sense of wonder andgratitude the magic of Life which is here to help me.

I breathe the magic of Life’s eternal love with every breath.

This truly is the best day ever.

In the Beauty of Peace, Surrendered to Love, Now I Breathe Perfection."

Who I'd Like to Inspire

♥ My mother who is currently suffering the ravages of morbid obesity, is in a wheelchair at 58 and has been for about 10 years, has congestive heart failure, and who suffers constant pain every day of her life. ♥

♥ Anyone who feels hopeless in the face of their food addiction. ♥

♥ People who have survived abuse. ♥

♥ Anyone going through heartbreak related depression and thinks that the only way to deal with it is through food. Turn that grief into a powerful catalyst to create positive change in your life, even when it hurts so badly all you want to do is eat your troubles away!♥

♥ Anyone who feels inspired by me! ♥
