Hello Pocket. I hope your husband is doing ok. I know how tough it is having a spouse go through chemo. It stinks, but he needs the support. I pray that you guys are doing ok, and hope to hear about any possible updates on him. Have a good Sunday. -Josh- P.S....Your transformation is killer!!!!!! Way to go!!!!

Hi Deb!! Thank you! Nice to see your pic & the beautiful transformation you made. Something else in common, my hubby is not really supporting my efforts either. Our Fave past time was to check out new resteraunts & frequent the others. I really had to curb that!!! Praying for your hubby! What an awful scarry time. Be strong, beautiful. Sherri

Update 20th Feb 2010

Challenge 3 has finished along with 1 year of eating clean and exercising (most of the time).

Oh my, what a ride on the river of life it has been....

4 months down the track from diagnosis......My darlin has finished chemo. This weekend we wait with trepidition to see if his body "recovers", without the usual steroids to make him feel better. We are in "Unchartered waters" again and this coupled with the change in "my" lifestyle from "Doug's drinking buddy" to someone who hardly ever drinks is a struggle for both of us, that is, I am quite happy with my new self, but it is a struggle for Doug to cope with it."

It's been a week of searching for common ground, reflection of the year past and fear about the future and what it holds.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS - there is no other choice that serves me and therefore us......

Update 20th Nov 2009
My world was thrown of kilter 6 weeks ago when my hubby was diagnosed with stage 4 aggresive Cancer. Unfortunately I reverted back to old habits with eating, drinking and not exercising. I realised that my mindset was right back where I began in Feb of this year and I needed to do something quickly. My body was beginning to reflect the choices I was making......

With the help and encouragement from my buddies on the Guest Book I decided to "Act my way into better thinking" (thanks BFLMike) and begin a challenge.

I am a happily married 49 yr old female from Australia, who is at a very happy point in life. I appreciate the abundance of everything in my life, including my body. BFL has not only transformed my body to phase two!, it has transformed my outlook on life and the future and is redefining "who I am" on a daily basis.

I discovered lots of wonderful things about myself during my first BFL Challenge, the main one of them being, a love of inspiring, uplifting and coaching others to follow their desires.

I'm an active member on the BFL Guest Book and that is the tool I am using to hopefully inspire the transformation of others.

My Favorite Charity

To me, Transformation Means

Discovering who you really are on all levels of your being and what you are capable of physically and spiritually.

Update - 20th Nov

Transformation now means finding new ways to deal with lifes obstacles in order to stay on the healthy and happy track that the body transformation created. I think its relatively easy to transform the body once you set your mind on it and stick to it, but transforming old patterns that put us on this path in the first place is paramount in order to keep "happy" - work in progress!

My Goals

Challenge 3: has ended, I met the goals listed below, wasn't prepared for more "revelations", but an glad to work through and onwards.

Challenge 2: Began 25/5/09 - 16/8/09
To go beyond "losing weight" and find the athletic body within.
To make a number of friends across the world and learn about other cultures.
To be so inspired by life, that I "jump" out of bed in the morning.
To have a strong body so I can explore other physical things in life - like skydiving, white water rafting and bunjee jumping!

Challenge 3 - 16th Nov - 7th Feb

mmmmm - need to work on this, challenge began without the homework, but for now:
1. Stay focussed whilst helping hubby deal with cancer and travelling once a fortnight 600 miles for chemo
2. Continue to support others in their journeys in anyway I can
3. Physically - at the end of this challenge I will have core definition

My Intentions

To complete this challenge with passion and commitment - to "Act as If" until it becomes real.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Anyone I can by "walking the walk" inspite of my current situation.
