Back from Vacation, back into the groove!

Had a blast with my lil rotns during vacation! We did a lot of walking; from the condo to the boardwalk was a mile, and we walked to and from it at least 4 times! We played in the pool, the beach, and did a lot of sightseeing. On the downside, we also consumed unauthorized Britt's donuts and Squigle...

Why is it that I can tell a HUGE difference in the way my clothes are fitting, in the way I'm feeling, and the way I'm becoming more self confident, but the pics don't reflect those changes yet? Hey Penni, funny how some kids love the camera and some don't. I have one of each!! My son hates pictures and my daughter will gladly pose for them! I also am a single/wk ft mom and it can be a struggle sometime to stay motivated and positive, that is the awesome thing about this site and the wonderful people here, I can always, no matter what, come here and find something to get me motivated and help stay positive. Hope you have a fantastic day! Sharla

Welcome Penni! I live right down the road from you in Mebane and I work in Hillsborough. How cool! The other NC Transformers are not far away either. I'm finishing up my 1st 18 weeks and getting ready to start my 2nd 18 weeks on Sunday so if there's anything I can do to help just let me know. It sounds like you are off to a good start. --Brandie

I Am

I'm a single/work FT mom. My kids are my world. I have to set the example.

I'm new to Transformation, but not new to BFL. I did the BFL program in 2003 with great results (lost 60 lbs). I regained it after experiencing many 'unhappy life events'. I've been on WW since then and lost another 30+ lbs, but as many of you have already figured out, I've gained that back too. I've found that a lot of motivation to change my lifestyle is by reading other success stories and watching the Transformation videos. I'm 'vertically challenged' (4'11"), so if any of you are in the same boat, please tell me how your Transformation is going, what challenges are you facing, what modifications have you made, what limitations, if any, do you have due to being short?

My Favorite Charity

Make A Wish, Eastern NC

To me, Transformation Means

My Goals

I started writing a list of reasons of why I need to lose weight. I should change the title to When I Lose Weight These Things Will Change:
~Lower blood pressure
~No more acid reflux
~Who knows, maybe no more kidney stone issues!
~No more tight fitting, uncomfortable clothes
~I'd wear a bikini, and look hot (omg did I just say that out loud??)
~I'd be able to wear clothes I've had in my closet for years, but not for long because even they'd be too big eventually
~My kids won't be embarrassed to be with me. My mom was 5'1" and weigh over 300lbs at her heaviest. I'm not close to that weight, but I know how I used to feel, and don't want my kids to feel like that, ever
~Set a good example for my kids
~Save money
~Will stop looking at other women and thinking 'I wish I had her figure' They'll want mine! (I really am a humble person, but just once I'd love to hear someone say to me I wish I looked like you.)
~Be able to walk/climb a flight of stairs and not be out of breath.
~Won't dress so frumpy. I'd have a choice to wear what I want, feel great about it, and look great too!
~Won't be embarrassed at public functions like a reunion, party, etc.
~At amusement parks I won't have to worry whether or not I'll *fit*. Not only that, but on some rides I have to hop up to get on (that whole being short thing lol). When you weigh less, there's less of you to hop up!
~Better sex life.. now who doesn't want that??!

My Intentions

Making all the above happen.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Anyone who feels like I do right now. For a long time I've had little to no motivation. Reading success stories truly gives me that kick of motivation that I need.
