I Am

...a husband and father of three who decided that being a victim of life is no way to live. I have lost over 40 pounds in the past two years and have dropped my pants from a tight size 40 to a comfortable size 34. I have returned to running after 15 years and finished second in my age group last year in my first 5k since high school. I have become much closer and more open with my wife. I have done all this despite the onset of Multiple Sclerosis in the summer of 2008. If I can do this, so can you. Transformation is a choice at every step along the way. I want to continue to head in this positive direction, and I would love to see you do the same!

My Favorite Charity

Ligonier Ministries

To me, Transformation Means

...literally to move from one form to another. To break out of the mold that has cast me in my former condition and build the molds that will cast me as the man I need to be. To fundamentally change the shape of my life...not just body but also mind and spirit. This work is never done; the change is never completely finished in this life.

My Goals

To achieve a level of spiritual, emotional and physical fitness that will enable me to not only cope with the challenges of my disease and of everyday life, but also to lift up those around me and encourage them to live better lives.

My Intentions

To continue writing this new chapter in my life, building upon the work I've already done and striving ever upward by the grace of God.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

My wife most of all. She has endured so much, particularly with the burden my disease has brought to our household. I want to show her that life is not one long series of things we have to put up with, but rather one long and amazing journey we experience on the way to something greater. I want to inspire my children by teaching them what it means to value yourself enough to make a commitment to living well, and how to approach the major challenges that life brings. I want to inspire as many people as I can, to water the seeds of the inspiration others gave me along the way.
