Gyme? What's a gyme?

I'm pleased to announce that I've found a gym that may suit me well.  The price is right, and there's a lot of one-on-one support and accountability.  Most of the guys who work out there are already in good shape, but I didn't get the vibe that it was a "muscle-head" gym - you kn...

Assignment One

At last, it begins.Three values for my life, which I hold deep within my heart:1.) My family is my life.  Without them I am nothing.  Therefore, I want to be the best "me" I can be for them.2.) My beliefs are intrinsic to who I am.

Hey there, I really connected with your profile in reading about you and I wanted to stop by and introduce myself. There was quite a bit creatively and also internally I connected with what you said and seeing that in myself. I am a lighting designer, musician, writer, and also now transformer too The key piece that I am just learning about accepting is love for myself. It is a major roadblock to me starting a family with my wife of almost three years. So I always look up to people such as yourself who have children and are role models. I'd love to learn more about how you make it all happen! -Andrew

There you are!! Way to go posting that first assignment. :) I know it's tough, but the internal work through transformation is amazing if you stick with it. I think the first few weeks for myself, I was so wrapped up in that stuff (and adjusting to having my husband be gone) that the exercise and diet were hard to work on at the same time. But I learned so much about myself and now, I've been able to fully embrace the physical side of this transformation. I hope you're patient with yourself! From one perfectionist to another, we're learning to ride a bicycle. Gotta be okay with falling down a few times as long as we get back up and keeping trying! HUGS! ~Randi

I am experiencing a shockwave flash plug in crash issue on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet explorer 6-7. I tried removing the Service pack 2 from the add/delete programs section in c-panel, but it didn't work. I then went to Adobe's site to troubleshoot. I was able to successfully download the Adobe Shockwave Flash/ActiveX uninstaller. Although the uninstaller said it successfully uninstalled flash and Active X, I don't think it did. I'm able to view videos successfully on T.com, but have been unable to upload for over a month now. I'll send to send the error reports to you , via PM to your inbox, so you can possibly help me get over this temporary adversity. I really appreciate you brother. And, I'm next door to you here in Delaware =) Shawn

P.S. I see your field of profession is in Information Technology. Would you happen to know how to fix web browsers, that don't properly load the shockwave flash plug in? Any help would be greatly appreciated =) So thankful, MCG

I Am

I'm 31 and wear many hats: father, husband, writer, geek, and more. I never expected to have five kids, but I cannot imagine even a single day without them. My family is everything to me, and I would do absolutely anything for them. I work in the I.T. field by day, but my true passion is creating: writing, directing, stage and screen. For me, it's about connecting with others, touching them, making them laugh or bringing them to tears. It's about sharing the human experience.

My Favorite Charity

To me, Transformation Means

All my life I have felt like there was a disconnect between who I was inside and who people knew as "me." Others may have seen a flighty, naive, overweight kid with dreams that exceeded his grasp, but I always saw the potential to do absolutely anything. For a long time, I have let myself become convinced that the "me" I knew existed was a pipe dream. But I know that it's not. That's what transformation is to me: breaking free of preconceptions and limitations that I've let others impose (and that I have imposed on myself) and finally being who I really am and achieving everything I know I can achieve. It's about introducing the world to the real me for the first time: confident, healthy, and unstoppable.

My Goals

It's time for me to see what this body can do. Against all odds, I am in good health despite my weight problem. It's time to unlock the potential of a healthy body. I want to walk down the hall without sucking in my gut. I want to walk up the steps without getting winded. I want to be free from the disease of overeating, and from the anxiety and depression that have stolen years of my life from me.

But most of all - I want to be here to see my kids grow up and have their own families. And I want to show my kids through action what I have always told them through words: that you can achieve ANYTHING if you really want it.

My Intentions

I intend to do whatever it takes to make this challenge a success and start living healthier. I intend to find some emotional, spiritual, and physical peace on the other side of this challenge. I intend to finally, after twenty years of wishful thinking, unlock the full potential that is me.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I've never thought of myself as an inspiration to anybody. If anyone at all takes anything from this journey that helps them, God bless them. I only want to show my kids that anything is possible.
