a poem

I have, somehow, survived. My heart is a machine, opened with sweat, much sweat, but moved by the smallest of levers.I expect tomorrow it will keep on beating, keeping time for no reason - at leastno reason which reason can read. Ti

Warm welcome to the community! Great to know you are ready to take action towards positive healthy changes in your life. You know when I first joined the site, I did not thing I could be an inspiration to anyone..at least until I had a successful transformation. But you know what learned? As soon as you begin to take positive action towards your health goals, and you share about your journey, you are inspiring others to do the same :)

Hi Sean! I look forward to getting to meet you in NM on the 14th. If you haven't had a chance, please watch my video. I don't know how you feel about some of the things you've written, but I can relate. I'm here if you ever need someone to just listen. Carolynn

Your honesty is very inspiring. It takes a lot to put yourself out there and tell the truth, not many people do that. You are taking the steps necessary to become a stronger person. I imagine you are hard on yourself, most of us are. Take one thing at a time and do the little things that bring about change. I enjoyed reading your profile and your list! Have a great day. BJ

I Am

I am the world's worst husband. I care about my wife. I love chocolate, kittens, learning foreign languages, reading, kung fu movies, football & hockey, my couch, my bed, anti-depression meds.

Good furniture is a vastly under appreciated quality of life issue in my opinion.

My Favorite Charity

To me, Transformation Means

Becoming a better person. Living every day as if it were my last. Being brutally honest with myself 24/7. Facing my problems head on as a man.

My Goals

To walk with Christ.
To get straight A's this summer.
To earn BS/BA with enough of a resume to get into a good graduate school.
To eventually have a good job.
To live to at least 125, and be in good health, and be happy and at peace, on my last day.

In terms of health and wellness: To be free of medications. To be able to do more pushups than my wife, and at least 10 chin ups in a row. To be able to enjoy the gifts of life more fully and completely.

My Intentions

To take care of my wife. To give her vacations on a beach with drinks with little umbrellas on it. To live in a house which is my own, and which meets all my living needs. To make my life a good thing, instead of being a burden on those around me. To repay the faith shown in me by my wife, my few friends and my in laws. To make it clear that I am NOT the black sheep in my family.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

If I inspire anybody it will likely be by accident. I am not inspirational by nature. I have never thought much about how to be inspirational or whether I would like to be.

I am not a natural leader. I do not speak particularly well (although I am fairly good at writing).

I have been told I inspire people in certain situations - particularly academic. I am good at academics, fair at time management, reasonably efficient when it comes to multi-tasking and problem solving. I am bad at almost everything else. I am clumsy, arrogant, dishonest, and lack charisma.

What is it about a person that causes them to be called INSPIRING? I don't think I know the answer, but whatever it is I have it in only a small quantity.
