Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Jim for the help on the water bottles while running. I should be getting the belt that I ordered this week and I'll try it out. Knowing me, I'll probably wear it during the race also and drink every time I see water also. I look forward to meeting you in Dallas. Have a great day today!!! ~ Jen

Hi Jim!! Finally getting around to being on the site some more. We have been getting out a little bit to see some of the local flare. Last week Alicia and I went up to Morro Bay to catch a sunset and have dinner. It was AMAZING! Can't wait til we get the rest of our stuff unpacked and we can get into a "normal" routine. Some of the guys from work put me on a team with them to run the Big Sur Mud Run next month!!! Should be fun:) Talk to you soon! Brian

Hi Jim. In the marathon training thread you mentioned something about a website that allows you to plug in weather conditions and what you like to wear and then it suggests clothing...but I didn't see the link to the website. Could you pass it along? Thanks. And thanks for all the tips on that thread. Really helpful for new runners like me. Gaye

I'm glad you live in warm weather, because the treadmill and I have learned to tolerate eachother! That was such a funny story about you leaving your treadmill. They sure have a way of wearing on ones sanity! Keep you the awesome work! Leslie

Oh how I would love to live in a more mild climate!!! One day! :) The snow is still coming down and last night I heard mostly ice hitting the windows. So... this morning the treadmill it is! :) I am slowly working up to more and more distance. You are an inspiration to me! Thank you! Have a beautiful day today! ~ Jen

I Am

A 52-year-young self-employed father and husband, dedicated to my family and to continuously improving myself. Spending time with my family is like saving time in a bottle.

I'm also a 10-year perennial Body-For-Lifer. I just completed my 10th transformation in 10 years, not counting the 5 or so half completed challenges or the recent HHC. I know in my heart that if I stay connected to this wonderful community, this will become a sustainable lifestyle and allow me to focus my transformation efforts on helping others to do the same.

My Favorite Charity

Santa Ynez Valley YMCA, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Foundation, and Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church.

To me, Transformation Means

Now that I've made the physical transformation a reality, I'm focusing on helping others to do the same and on continuing my internal spiritual transformation. This means continuing to unloading the emotional baggage that I carry from growing up as an extremely obese child. I call this alter ego part of me Fat Boy. He will always be a part of me, I can't change the past, but I can choose how I view the future and the present. I am so grateful to Bill for providing this T-community. It's the support network I've been missing all these years. I Know in my heart that as long as I stay connected to the greater T-community, that my transformation journey will last a lifetime.

My Goals

Time to update my goals for 2010!!!

My 2010 goals are:

1) To maintain or better my current body composition.

2) To run a half marathon in less than 2 hours.

3) To run at least two full marathons within an 18-week period.

My Intentions

To continue this wonderful journey and to inspire others to do the same. To be the change that I want to see in the world.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

All those 40-50-somthing year old guys and gals out there who's biological time clocks are ticking and they don't even hear it. WAKE UP BEFORE THE ALARM GOES OFF! It's still not too late to make a change, to be the change.

I also wish to inspire my two daughters to live the healthy childhood I never had, to show them by example that living a healthy lifestyle is not a chore but a blessing...a God-given right to be the best that we can be.

I hope you will consider joining my Mentor Group and together we can be the change (http://www.transformation.com/groups/WorkoutGuy-s-Mentor-Group/318).
